Landet - The Cool Bar and Restaurant outside of the City.

by makeyuu
posted 2 months ago
4 comments and 4 votesLandet is where I was with my friends from Sweden and from Australia. In red light we looked at people, drank beer and saw a alternative rock duo, boy on guitar, girl on drums. We smuggled sake into the place and had to buy our drinks one floor down because of the lack of credit card terminals on the top floor.

Ma's Restaurant

by strangelilgirl
posted 10 months ago
5 comments and 1 voteHear the name "Ma's" and you might conjure up the image of an old, large, greasy woman flipping pancakes and grumpily asking what you'd like to order, according to my boss; apparently the name didn't entice many customers in the early years. But prejudices finally subsided and people were pleased to discover that Ma's was actually a locally owned Chinese/Thai restaurant found right in the heart of downtown Central Point, and has now not only been thriving for the past 10+ years, but has been my place of employment for the last 3 of them.

Tis the Season for Jacksonville, OR

by strangelilgirl

2 votesJacksonville, Oregon is a historic town found right in the center of Oregon’s wine country. It’s about a 20 minute drive to get there from my apartment in Central Point. It has always been a favorite stop for my Mom and I when looking for something fun to do on a Saturday afternoon, or when we’d have family visiting from far away, anxious to go sight-seeing.

Huber's Farm (Borden, In)

by sarahd88

one commentEvery fall we grab a posse and caravan from Louisville up to Borden Indiana to Huber's farm. They have tractor rides out to pumpkin patches, you can pick your own apples, and they have a wonderful selection of fresh produce! This year we had about twenty people and spent the day laying in the grass, eating apples plucked fresh from the tree and running through the corn maze. I highly suggest that everyone nearby make an effort to go next October!

La Bersagliera Pizzeria

by minicooper

4 commentsI could write a lot about pizzas in La Bersagliera, but if you look at the pictures you will understand it. They are absolutely A W E S O M E. They are hot and spicy, what makes the pizza delicious. Pizzas are made in Calabrese style. Once you taste them, you cannot forgot them. A big hot spicy pizza and a beer for less than 12 €. What else can you need?

Kallbadhus Restaurant (Bjärred)

3 commentsMaybe that restaurant is the coolest I ever been. You have to walk through a long long wood gateway (Långa bryggan) over the quiet sea of Öresund. At the end you will find a very small restaurant, where you could eat the finest smoked salmon, and a sauna: one for women, one for men. If your are brave enough, after spending some time in the hot room, you can have a bath!
