Bear Creek Park

by strangelilgirl
posted 3 months ago
5 comments and 2 votesI am lucky enough to live right across the street from Bear Creek Park. When I was little, my parents and I used to take the bike path from Central Point and go there, but the path goes all the way to Ashland if you’re up for an extended ride!

Down By the Riverside (Ötztal Bahnhof)

by agrimony
posted about 1 year agoWhen it is getting warmer outside and the sun shines until late in the evening my favorite place to be is down by the riverside, about five minutes to walk from where my apartment is situated. The river is called Inn and it is the main river flowing through Tirol, the name of the province I live.

Sentosa Beach

4 votesYou know these moments, where you are totally at ease and in your mind there won´t be any other place you would like to be but the very one you are at? I love those moments and I had it once with Sentosa in Singapore. It is an artificial Beach-Area a bus ride from the City, which formerly was a military base. But the impression is perfect and we just heard afterwards, that what we experienced is absolutely made by man.

1 voteIt is the center of the city, the city of water: Piazza San Marco in Venezia. I am not easily blown away, but Venezia has got the something that makes refrain and thinks: ' it is awesome to be here at the moment!`. Besides the whole water-thing this very spot is outstanding.

This acclaimed, small-town arts community delights visitors with its rich history, creative energy and mild climate. Nearby Kootenay Lake is the largest inland lake in BC. In winter, the area's diverse terrain makes for great skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.

Water-Ferries Venezia

by wil6ka
posted about 1 year ago
2 commentsYou don't believe it until you see it. Sure, every child knows that Venezia is City of Water. But you have to see, feel, smell and touch it. Otherwise it is incomprehensible. But to do that you will have to take a water-ferry from the outside, like thousands of workers and even more thousand tourists. They all have to leave their motorized vehicles outside and take the water cab.

Anglet, France

one commentJust on the edge of France, in the Basque Country you can surf your brains out and sit in the sun in Anglet (not far from the beautiful city of Bayonne). The beach isn't white sanded, nor very fine, but there is surf, unlike the Mediterranean, and perhaps cleaner. To top it off, if you feel like stepping into Spain from here it is just a hop, skip and a jump!

1 voteI've been hitting Castaic Lake in Santa Clarita, CA for a few years now and finally decided to take a date - my Diana F+! There's a swimming area, you can bring friends and a BBQ, or if you feel adventurous, you can bring a kayak or a boat and explore the shores!

La Mesa Ecopark (Quezon City)

by eazy360

2 votesIf the grassy lawns of Luneta or Paco fall short, urbanize tree huggers can scoot to the northern borders of La Mesa Ecopark for the much-needed therapy of nature-bonding. An excellent place for family picnics and school field trips, this resuscitated parkland delivered by from the destruction of rampant illegal logging and poaching in East Fairview, Quezon City welcomes flocks of city folk seeking respite and leisure in Manila's last standing forest, especially during long weekends and holidays.

2 comments and 3 votesThis is a super fun bowling alley on the Berlin turnpike, which was one of the original highways before we had real highways in America in the '50s. Anyways there are all manner of good popular bowling alleys down the street but this one is out of the way and no one really goes there.

And if you're interested in lakes, let's go to the one, that is named the deepest lake of Lithuania, Tauragnas. The little village near it is called after the name of the lake, Tauragnai (different ending only). The lake is 60,5 m deep and what is more, this lake also has the highest "up the sea level" of all the lakes in Lithuania (165 m).

Ginučiai village

1 voteThis is the place, which can be called the best possible place to rest. The village Ginučiai is very small, maybe about 20-30 houses, but still this is one of the most popular places between the people who seek calm and relaxing place for their holidays. The village is situated in the national park of Aukstaitija (one of the districts in Lithuania), that is why there are a lot of lakes near it, rivers, hills (where there were castles long time ago).
