First Fridays in Richmond VA

by plaidleaf

4 comments and 3 votesIf it’s the First Friday of the month, you know what to do. Get yourself over to Broad St., just past Belvedere. If you drive over, chances are you’ll have a hard time finding parking, but it’s definitely worth the parking space hunt if that’s your only mode of transportation. A bicycle or your own two feet are probably the quickest way to get there.

Tate Museum

one comment and 1 voteFor a colour overload, head to the either Tate Modern or Tate Britain - full of great shooting opportunities. Try ground shots for great perspective shots whilst capturing the size and scale of the exhibition spaces. Be careful though, the attendants can take a dim view of photography so stealth is often the only way. Wait until they're gone then snap away and run! Who said museums were boring?

Kunsthaus Graz

by agrimony
posted about 1 year agoThe Kunsthaus was built in 2003 when Graz was European Capital of Culture. It was designed by London architects Peter Cook and Colin Fournier and is a very cool futuristic building – in my opinion it looks like a big blue space ship - situated near the river Mur between Südtiroler Platz and Lendkai.
