How many people visit Las Vegas and stay in the casino day and night? Well, that's how I use to be. I love the sin city, and I have always gambled all day long whenever I was there, but after a while, I started to finally realize that's not a very healthy way to spend my vacation!

Located just across the Golden Gate Bridge on the Marin side (so not San Francisco for all you non-locals), the Marin Headlands offer some of the most scenic trials, beaches, and historic sites to explore in the Bay Area. Spectacular views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge are everywhere on a clear day. The Headlands are easily reached by taking the last exit before the Golden Gate Bridge if you are coming from Marin.

Mountains are adventurers best friends, right? If you go there in winter, you can have a loads of snow, skiing tours and so on. If you travel there in summer, hiking, climbing and things like that are all your options. But if you, like me, go there during the first days of the spring, you can get into a very difficult to judge situation.

Ahoy, you mountain lovers! Ahoy, you hikers and extreme leisure activity fans! This is a story from the heart of Mala Fatras mountainous region in Slovakia's north-west. It is not so easy to find it, so please take a look at the map. OK, first thing when you get there, you need to find a place to stay (that's easy - a lot of motels, hotels, accommodation offers from the natives and so on).

Rice terraces are common in Asia, but in the Philippines, you can find rice terraces built by the Ifugao tribe over 2000 years ago on steep slopes and at altitudes reaching up to 1500 meters. One of the popular rice terraces that tourists visit is in Batad in Ifugao Province. The Batad rice terraces are beautifully formed in the shape of an ampitheater.

On the west coast of Corsica, between Porto and Piana, a narrow and tortuous road hangs on the edge of magnificent walls of red granite which fall straight into the sea... the famous - Calanches of Piana. Ripped and engraved by the erosion, they give the impression of a fantastic sculpture also by its specific colour - ochre. According to the legend Satan tried to seduce a shepherdess of the region, but not reaching where she was hiding, he became terribly angry. He sculptured a fantastic city. We can see it today by crossing or by going through creeks: the shepherdess and her husband, the dog, the bishop, and many other creatures...

Gulugod Baboy (translates to Pig Spine) is a local term for the mountain located in Anilao, Batangas. Locals said that it is called this way because of its contour shape. I already climbed this mountain 3 times with different sets of people. Every climb offers a different experience. It is a relatively easy climb taking just almost 2 hours to reach its peak. The view from the top is great - you have a 360 degree view of Anilao, Batangas Pier, Maricaban Island and other mountains.
