Orwochrom UT18 (35mm, 50 iso) User-Review

by eggzakly
posted 12 days ago
5 comments and 7 votesAnyone who knows me, knows I love strange film - the older and stranger the better! And this one is definitely strange: Expired in May 1992, this East German slide film was made to be developed in ORWO process 9165, chemicals which have long since been discontinued.

Digbeth: Broken but Beautiful

by lomat
posted about 1 month ago
3 comments and 4 votesI travel through Digbeth everyday on my way to work; it was the first centre of industry in Birmingham and became one of the most heavily industrialised areas in the town. But now it is all falling apart, most of the factories and warehouses are empty, so this makes a great place to take my Mini Diana on her first trip out!

Diana Mini : Does Size Matter?

by ndroo
posted 2 months ago
5 comments and 12 votesI must admit that I was very excited to test drive the Diana Mini when I received it yesterday. I was curious how it will perform … will ’she’ produce photos that are close to what its elder sister (the Diana F+) can churn out? Is it just a cute pretty camera?

Agfa Parat I: Half Frame, Full Camera

by zark
posted 7 months ago
6 comments and 5 votesBuild between 1963 and 1968 by Agfa Camerawerk Munich, the Parat Series took advantage of the risen resolution of films by that time. Double the amount of pictures could be taken on a standard 35mm Film by exposing two 18mm x 24mm negatives instead of a single 36mm x 24mm negative.

Agat 18

6 comments and 3 votesAgat 18 is the smallest camera in my collection. It is so compact that can fit into the palm, doesn't take too much space in the pocket, that is why you can always be ready for the unexpected and interesting things with this camera.

Yashica Samurai X3.0 – Half Format SLR

by lomodirk
posted about 1 year ago
10 comments and 4 votesI don`t know where I first heard of this camera, but it must be something like love at first sight. But it could have also been something like "This thing is so ugly, I got to have it!" Most people will think you have a film camera because of its futuristic look. The film will be transported vertical instead of horizontal, which gives you the normal landscape format. Other half frame cameras must be turned to upright format to get the result of an landscape format. Confused?

Be Lomo Chajka II Half-Frame camera

by rodrigomg1511
posted about 1 year ago
one comment and 4 votesThis is a half-frame camera, 28mm (f2.8-16.0) focusing lens. Close focusing to 3 feet. PC contact, cable release connection and tripod socket. Exposure is strictly manual with no built-in meter or exposure guide. The shutter release button is on the front of the camera. It had a nice little film speed reminder on the bottom of the camera, but some people are confused by this and think that the camera has some sort of built-in meter! Despite its proto-typical flaws, it is a well-made camera.
