Maymont Park

3 comments and 2 votesWandering about and taking in the scenery is one of my favorite pastimes; I’m betting it’s one of yours too. You can take in scenery just about anywhere, but Maymont is pretty special. It’s 100 acres of pure green beauty interspersed with various gardens and animal sanctuaries. In my eyes, it’s like a miniature version of New York’s Central Park (minus the ice skating rink) in the middle of Richmond.

Golden Gate Park, San Francisco

one comment, 1 submission, and 1 voteGolden Gate Park is a large rectangular park located in San Francisco. The park is modeled after Central Park in New York and Lincoln Park in Chicago. The area offers lakes, gardens, museums, and an indoor greenhouse containing rare flora and fauna. It is an excellent place for locals and visitors alike to spend the day and get away from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco proper.

Greenwich Park, London

by kylewis
posted 11 months agoI love this park, it's so big you can easily spend a whole day just exploring one small corner of it, in fact I don't think I've ever managed to discover all of its hidden delights, there are too many secluded areas, enclosed gardens, ancient trees and very steep slopes to roll down. These are obviously great fun at certain times of the year, if we ever have snow again!!

Bairro da Liberdade

by dux_x
posted 11 months agoIt’s exactly like the rest of Brazil, a beautiful mix of cultures, colors, origins, but mostly, this neighborhood is a very exciting piece of Japanese country.
