  An underground cathedral built entirely out of salt... lick the walls if you don't believe it. It's somehow hard to take pictures in this place, you need long exposures, or maybe high ISO film.

  Passau is a nice little city at the border between Bavaria (Germany) and Austria and is called the "3 rivers town": the main river is the Danube (or Donau), crossed by the Inn and the Ilz rivers

  If you ask anyone from Marseille what building is the symbol of the town, they will all answer you "La Bonne Mère"! Indeed, the "Good Mother" is the main cathedral of Marseille and is the holy protector of the whole city and people of Marseille

  Vilnius Cathedral is the main Roman Catholic Cathedral of Lithuania. It is situated in Vilnius Old Town and it is one of the most attractive places for the tourists. The coronations of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania took place in its predecessors.

  Miranda do Douro is a beautiful and small city in the northeastern part of Portugal. It is located on the border with Spain, with the Douro River separating the two countries. Being a city situated on a high point, the first king of Portugal saw its military potential, so he built a castle. This castle and the fortifications were destroyed during the many wars fought against the Spanish and the French.

  Belfast's most famous place of worship is probably St. Anne's Cathedral, located by Cathedral Quarter, a hive of activity at its annual Arts Festival. But in a most unlikely place, St Mary's Church also provides some astonishingly silent sanctuary. A few doors up from Castle Court, Belfast's biggest shopping centre, St Mary's is in a rather odd location, but still a retreat in the midst of city centre madness. Built in 1784, it was Belfast's first Catholic church - before it opened its door, Belfast's Catholic population met to worship at a site called Friar's Bush. Inside the church can be seen brightly-painted statues, Italian artwork, dramatic arrangements of candles and, of course, a depiction of the Sacred Heart.

  Ravello has the most divine panoramic view of Italy! Ravello is situated near the Amalfi coast, in Italy, near Naples, on a splendid position, on a rocky spur astride the Dragon's and Reginna's Valleys. Ravello was an important town of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi, an important trading power in the Mediterranean between 839 and around 1200. But when the people from Pisa attacked and sacked it, a slow decline began.
