3 comments and 3 votesFor an easy afternoon with a cup of peppermint tea and stunning view, go to Tate Modern’s open air balcony on the 3rd floor. Never too busy, with its pretty comfortable chairs, overlooking the stunning panorama of the river Thamse, including Saint Paul’s Cathedral and many other architectural masterpieces of old and new ages.

Halvandet (Copenhagen)

3 commentsCopenhagens best urban beach bar must be Halvandet (one and a half). It’s an oasis with lots of possibilities and activities, beach bar, beach cafe, hangout place, disco, when the danish weather allows it, this place transforms into a exotic paradise like you’ll find in southern Europe.

In the Shop: Street Level Espresso.

by jeffmoore
posted 10 months agoYou’re wandering the streets of lovely Victoria in British Columbia and you need to satisfy your hunger for analog imagery while quenching your thirst for a perfectly crafted espresso. Good thing for you **Ken Gordon** has opened the perfect little spot, aptly titled: **Street Level Espresso**. The walls are adorned with large framed prints from a familiar plastic artillery. With a true eye for taste and a true taste for all things coffee, we knew there was more to the man behind the counter.

The Milkybar Kid

posted 11 months agoIs that your tummy rumbling!? Quick! Head straight for The Little Venice Café! Half-way up the street, this place serves a heady fusion of Italian and Lebanese food with pizza and hummus served aside tasty wraps and scrumptious pasta. To keep your belly AND your wallet bulging, go for the Special Menu - £5.40 for two or £5.90 for three courses. VERY filling. Pizzas to go, too. Mmm!

Chocolate cake at Vienna

by agrimony
posted about 1 year agoIf you need some rest from all the impressions you got by walking through the city of Vienna and have a little bit of a hypoglycemia sugar is the best thing to fight it! Take some time out at the Kunsthalle-Café am Karlsplatz. If there is summer in the city take place in a very comfortable canvas chair and feel like on a green city beach. A friendly waitress will come soon and ask for your desires.

Broadbeach

one commentA little further down from the hardest hit tourist destination of the Gold Coast (surfers paradise) lies a place which offers all the entertainment of its northern sister (actually more) without that tacky tourist-built feeling. right on the beach and wrapped around the trunks of architecturally amazing buildings is a string of great restaurants and humble cafes, complete with jazz music wafting from the street corner every so often.

Södermalm

2 votesSödermalm (or Sôder) is a district of Stockholm, on an island, south of Gamla Stan (the old town). It remained a rural area for a long time. In the 19th century, Södermalm was known as a working class district, with poor wooden houses which burned too easily. The times have changed! Nowadays Södermalm is a trendy district, with a wide range of restaurants, cafés, bars, alternative fashion shops and design galleries, sometimes mixed in the same place. If you want to do shopping, go to SOFO, south of Folkungagatan.
