Agfa APX (35mm, 400 iso) User-Review

by strangelilgirl
posted 5 months ago
2 comments and 3 votesI've always preferred color over black & white, being particularly fond of the xpro extremes found in slide film. Occasionally I'll pick up some B&W in an effort to become more familiar with it, but I always end up going back to color. During my latest experience, however, part of me has turned: the film was Agfa APX, 400 speed, 35mm, and the results were a rainbow of grays, classic and impressive all at once.

Adventures in Slide Film

2 comments and 1 voteSlide film is not for the faint-hearted. If you want your colors kicked several notches up, take a ride with the Slide. When processed normally, the colors will pop vibrantly, and when cross-processed (that’s when you dunk your film into the wrong chemicals) it just becomes so wonderfully zany!

Agfa Parat I: Half Frame, Full Camera

by zark
posted 7 months ago
6 comments and 5 votesBuild between 1963 and 1968 by Agfa Camerawerk Munich, the Parat Series took advantage of the risen resolution of films by that time. Double the amount of pictures could be taken on a standard 35mm Film by exposing two 18mm x 24mm negatives instead of a single 36mm x 24mm negative.
