Taj Mahal, India

10 comments and 2 votesI am not such a touristy traveller, checking out all the sites and then getting drunk with your native co-travellers. No, I want to see, what the locals do, feel and think. So my tracks are different to the ones of the masses. But there are certainly some spots that you have to see, when you go abroad. So I went to Taj Mahal and to write it from the beginning: I was disappointed.

Mount Pinatubo Adventure Trek

by eazy360

5 comments and 1 voteAs we worked our way through the ashen gullies of Mount Pinatubo's shoulder, I admired the signs of rebirth underway: the steady stream of water that skipped over horsetails, tadpoles and pumice stones painted with sulfur and iron; the moss, thickets and tree ferns carpeting the ravines beneath distant avian cawing; and Aeta children keenly observing our ascent into the gaping cerulean mouth of Apo Namallari-- the almighty god of this sacred mountain, whose pyroclastic power the world witnessed during the eruption of June 1991, the largest in living memory.

Geghard Monastery

by wil6ka
posted 10 months agoIf you aim high you have to take steep steps. That would be the perfect description for the Geghard Monastery in Armenia. This outstanding example for religious architecture is not short of awkward atributes, which made it a UNESCO world heritage. Geghard was originally named Ayrivank, which means "monastery of the cave" and that surely is the allegory that fits this monument best because it is assembled in the natural landscape of the mountains and becomes a part of the stones. It was built in 1215 at site of a sacred cave-spring.

Sky Experience Adventure at Crown Regency Hotel

4 comments and 2 votesWhat I love about Cebu is that every time I come home, the place has always something new to offer: a new mall, new restaurant, new hangout, new beach hideaway, and new friends. No wonder travelers simply can't get enough of the Queen City of the South, making Cebu the most visited city in the country.

2 comments and 1 voteCorsica also called "The beauty Island" is in the Mediterranean Sea. This island contains the "GR20":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GR20 , one of Europe's most famous and difficult hiking trails. There is many beautiful mountains with a lot of rivers like the Tavignano, the Restonica with very cold water but after a hard hiking it's a pleasure to swim in a pure water.

Terchova

by jogintas
posted about 1 year agoAhoy, you mountain lovers! Ahoy, you hikers and extreme leisure activity fans! This is a story from the heart of Mala Fatras mountainous region in Slovakia's north-west. It is not so easy to find it, so please take a look at the map. OK, first thing when you get there, you need to find a place to stay (that's easy - a lot of motels, hotels, accommodation offers from the natives and so on).

Baschnja - Abandoned Water-Tower Buchara

by wil6ka

3 votesUzbekistan is a fantastic country with several ancient cities, which were once part of the legendary silk road. One of them is Buchara. But I am not so much a historic site-checker, if you know what I mean. I rather go for the undiscovered urban places that hold a certain arcane quality.

Lomnicky Stit

one commentHello there, height lovers! I am just in love with Slovakian Tatras, to be precise - the High Tatras, or as the natives call them Vysokye Tatry. These mountains are situated in the north of the country, and right near the mountain there is a small road (called the route of love, or just Nr.537). On that road there are a lot of relaxation and tourism towns, often beloved by winter sports lovers, but during the summer (or even spring) you can still find a lot to do there.

posted about 1 year agoLocated in Bo Hon Island, at the center of the UNESCO-declared World Heritage area Ha Long Bay, the Sung Sot Cave (which means “Surprising Cave” or “Cave of Awe”) boasts of having one of the best and largest grottoes of Vietnam. Before getting there, be sure to get ready with high-ASA films and long/bulb exposure shots!
