2 comments and 2 votesLast time I had a small Tour de Nuremberg with my bicycle and a friend of mine we discovered a place where we`ve never been before. „Where is that road leading to?“ asked my friend and as we both don`t know we decided to follow that unknown road.

one comment and 2 votesL'Armano is a big old villa from the 17th century, something like 200 meters away from my apartment in Grugliasco... It's a huge farm, including a 2 storey house and a chapel, surrounded by a big garden.

3 comments and 5 votesThe ex Fiat/Teksid steel plate production plants, situated in the northern part of Turin, were definitely closed in 1992 and then partially destroyed. Still standing though are the "red giants", the huge steel columns which were once the structure of the factory.

Manila Metropolitan Theater: Lonesome "Grand Dame"

by eazy360

4 comments and 2 votesAboard the LRT before the train crosses the Pasig River, you won't miss it: a lonesome structure with curious detailing on the busy intersection of Padre Burgos Street and Quezon Boulevard, once the "Grand Dame" of theater during the heydays of Manila before the Second World War. Meet the "Met", the Manila Metropolitan Theater.

The Tunnel - Austria

by agrimony
posted about 1 year agoOnce a good friend of mine told me about an old tunnel somewhere in the mountains near the place I live. It is some kind of secret which everybody knows but nobody could tell where exactly you can find this tunnel. But Ronald found out where the entrance is and where the tunnel leads you to – he’s an adventurer with heart and sole.

Derelict Building (Boston)

by dbc2

1 voteA friend took me through an abandoned building in downtown Boston. It is located near the TD Bank North Garden and used to house architectural firms, clothing manufacturers, and studio spaces. One room is full of buttons and the views of the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge from the roof are spectacular.

Spreepark (Berlin, Germany)

by trabantdeluxe

one commentOn the outskirts of Berlin in the heart of the Treptow district, lies the remnants of what was once the only amusement park in the former German Democratic Republic (Deutsche Demokratische Republik, or East Germany). Built amidst a forested area known as the Plänterwald along the banks of the river Spree, the park was opened in 1969 as "Kulturpark".

Multi-storey Car Park

by mrszen
posted about 1 year agoI love all abandoned locations. My latest find is the very top of multi-story car parks. I'm attracted only to the very top floor where people are too lazy to park. Here I have my own private world with no interruptions and where I make the rules. I have an unlimited view of the busy city below. I pity the people at street level with their lack of tranquillity. Here I am closer to heaven than they are by a good 12 floors.

Holiday Resort in San Jhih

by alice26992
posted about 1 year ago
one comment and 1 voteIt is an abandoned holiday resort in San Jhih, a mall town on the north coast of Taiwan. It has been abandoned for more then 20 years. People call it "UFO house". The man who supposedly designed the flying saucer room is an architect from Finland Matti Suuronen. He designed the flying saucer shape in 1968 (UFO). The glass fiber system house calls "Futuro". Bit later the same year, the production cost of Futuro became more expensive, as well as producer Polykem had not consummated the plan to develop Futuro, and sold the design idea right to many countries carelessly, therefore you can see Futuro in so many places around the world.
