Multiple Exposure Rumble ended 9 months ago

57 comments and 918 submissionsWhether you’re a newbie to multi-exposing or an aficionado this rumble gives you carte blanche to show us the fruit of your experimentation! But, this time we don't want to see your doubles taken with the LCA, Diana, or your Smena. Instead, try to experiment a bit and show us some combinations! A little bit of Supersampling in your Fisheyes, a bit of Oktomat in your Pop9s, the crazier the combination the better! Remember Golden Rule #10? There are NO Rules!

Plastic Fantastic

by lucasjakobsson

5 commentsThere is something unbelievably charming about plastic cameras. In this age of shiny surfaces and push-button motion, it is quite comforting to dive in a world of light leaks, vignettes, deep saturation, and blur – as seen by the beady eye of the Lomographic Plastic. From 35mm to 120, single-lens to multi-lens, flash-equipped to daytime-only, we've got a wide selection of plastic cameras to get you into weaving some magic!

Learning to Count With The Pop 9

by mephisto19
posted 11 months ago
7 comments and 4 votesLooking at my Pop9 and its nine shots I thought about creating numbers like on a dice. I grabbed some black tape, taped some of the lenses and asked a friend to show some numbers with her fingers. I tried different tapings for the same numbers and called this series "learning to count". If you want to count till nine, please have a look at the shots below!

Pop Art with the Pop 9

by cruzron

8 commentsWhen you find that your portraits are becoming dull, liven them up by adding texture! I find that the best way to do this is to shoot doubles with a Pop 9 first then your trusty LCA after, the results of which are absolutely mind-blowing!

Pop 9 - Multiple Images

by superlighter
posted 11 months ago
10 comments and 7 votesI was bored with always having 9 identical images from my Pop 9 camera and while waiting for a new POP 9+ camera that allows multiple exposures I had the idea of making a multiple exposure film playing with some black tape to darken some of the 9 lenses. The greatest difficulty is to reload the film so that the second exposure matches in the best way possible the first one to recreate the usual 3x3 image grid.

The Church of the Good Shepard-Hartford

one comment and 3 votesThe thing about the USA and especially my area of it is that we have a forgotten history. People forget to mention things because it doesn’t fit nice and easy into our preferred narrative. Anyways in Connecticut our best industries have been things like tobacco farming, cloth production (from cotton grown by southern slaves), and gun making…. So you see why we try and forget?

The Pop 9: Golden* 9Eye is Watching You!

by agrimony
posted about 1 year ago
6 comments and 3 votesThere are lots of plastic beauties featured with four lenses, even with eight lenses, which show you moves and bring some action into your life. Among all these plastic fantastic cameras there is one with a little eccentric touch – the golden 9eye! She’s the static queen and pictures a moment of calm 9 times. This means that to shoot one object looks like a fantastic design and that’s why it is almost impossible to mess up a photo. It is often a big surprise to see the results of your film – even when you think that you took some shots which do not live up with your high expectations.

Tipster Of The Day: Analogue Pixelization

3 comments and 3 votesRecently, in an effort for the film purists to co-exist with the inevitable digital dominance, we were told about the technicalities of how to digitise your lovely lo-fi lomographs with what they call "PPI and DPI":http://beta.lomography.com/magazine/blog/2008/09/24/digital-grain-pixel-pain and its practical uses in our daily life.
