  Since the Romans constructed the first bridge on the river Miño in Ourense, it has been taken nearly 2000 years in constructing other of similar impact and of good conference on the city, the river Miño and its surroundings.

  The Old Town of Pontevedra is one of the best preserved in Galicia, so is the Old Town of Santiago de Compostela, and unquestionable witness of the medieval splendor, when Pontevedra was deeply connected to the sea.

  Since the world is world, cities grow and grow, and grow again. Some towns come to absorb other smaller that surround them. This is our life… That is what happened in Vigo during the last centuries. Bouzas is a part of Vigo, with its own history, but now part of this great city of Galicia.

  What can we say about the University? Students come and go, some studying, others ,,, only come and go! Universidad de Vigo is characterized by geographical dispersion of its sites. It has three campuses located in three cities in the south of Galicia: the Campus of Vigo, in part at As Lagoas-Marcosende and partly in the city center (Torrecedeira), Campus of Ourense and Pontevedra (A Xunqueira ).

  In the North frontier of Portugal (in Spain) is Galicia. From the birth of Portugal as a country, the relationships between Galicia and Portugal were frequent. There are a lot of bridges from Portugal to Spain and to Spain to Portugal.

  The Ribeira Sacra is truly a magic place. This area of the North of Spain, located where the Sil and Miño rivers meet, is full of history and breathtaking natural landscapes. Especially worth mentioning are the spectacular Cañones del Sil, which one can admire navigating along the river or from one of the many observatories along the road.

  Vigo is the biggest town in the Northwest of Spain. Whooo!!! There are a lot of peculiar things in our town: Boats, graffiti, Commercial areas, rubbish, misery, happiness, parties, ducks in the gardens, big squares, little ones, … I think that you can meet all you need (more or less …)
