It has been a long time since I harassed all you Northern Lomo geeks for a meetup so I feel that now would be a suitable time to get on it. Let’s do Liverpool in February.

On a recent day trip to Liverpool, there was a set of graffiti that really jumped out and caught my eye right away. Sadly I only managed to get one photo of it and would love to know a bit more about it before I return to the city in February.

Earlier in the year, my boyfriend and I decided to visit someplace that we hadn't been to before and we ended up spending a weekend in the amazing city of Liverpool.

Liverpool says it's UK's most musical city and who can argue with them since it is the home of one of the greatest free festivals in Europe. Once a year Liverpool turns into one big party during the Mathew Street festival that attracts up to 300,000 visitors! Simultaneously you can also enjoy the Liverpool fringe and Beatles festival. In other words, enjoy some action and culture packed days!

Liverpool is a city and metropolitan borough of Merseyside, England along the eastern side of the Mersey Estuary. It was founded as a borough in 1207 and was granted city status in 1880. Liverpool is the fourth largest city in the United Kingdom (third largest in England) and has a population of 435,500, and lies at the centre of the wider Liverpool Urban Area, which has a population of 816,216. And a band called The Beatles came from there - I doubt you've heard of them.

There’s a little bit of Liverpool in downtown Richmond at Penny Lane Pub! Complete with courtyard area that’s mostly covered from the elements, great beer on tap, a selection of great food, pool tables, dart boards, and pub quizzes every Monday and Wednesday, you won’t want to go anywhere else for a drink! However… if you’re looking for a fru-fru drink with an umbrella, know that you’ve come to the wrong place. There is no blender in this pub!

Duke is my favorite street in Liverpool, but I have to admit it wasn't a love at first sight. There aren't the same fashion shops you could find anywhere and no cool places published in magazines, and nowadays it's hard to find.
