This is a short melancholic capture of the end of summer. So you will see subdued photos of pools, resorts, and a heavy strong downpour that left me stranded in a train station for nearly an hour. I was so desperate to capture this moments I even brought my LC-A+ to the swimming pool without a protective casing, but it was worth the risk. Perhaps I won't do it again though.

The hot sun and sand, the cool water and awesome consistent waves of San Juan, La Union is my favorite destination in the whole of Luzon! Even if it is 5 hours away from my home in Manila, Philippines, I would gladly leave at 1AM to catch waves early in the morning and then leave after dinner to get enough sleep before work the next day! (OK, so I’ll probably have someone else drive)

Packed with surfboards and a 4x4 we traveled the entire coast from the North of Tamarindo to the south that dead ends at Mal Pais, and then back up the coast to the north to end the trip at the Arenal Volcano. With a fisheye and the fisheye water housing the trip was an amazing experience. The only problem was a lack of film and the absence of a secure strap for the fisheye housing. Costa Rica is paradise...adventure is on tap daily!
