Far away from nearly everywhere else, on the east coast of Greenland, lies the island Ammassalik. And it's one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited in my life.

Lomography's Online Magazine Intern, Heiwa Wong, certainly has the prowess when it comes to writing and conjuring up creative ideas. We've flipped the roles around a bit and invited her to be among the Community LomoAmigos because of her unique and intimate relationship with nature, which has moved us as I'm sure will do the same to you, and is conveyed beautifully through her photographs.

Greenland is not your everyday touristic destination. But it's surprisingly easy to get to the eastern town of Kulusuk, and you'll be rewarded with some spectacular polar views.

My friend Aileen and I already made a few double exposure projects together. Almost with a previously determined theme and with wonderful results! Here I show you a small selection.

I took my LC-A and some color negative film to the North Carolina Arboretum at the University of North Carolina to enjoy the last few days of summer in nature.

I designed the artwork for If These Trees Could Talk's vinyl LP, and used my lomo photos as the centerpiece. Find out more about how I utilized these photos within my work, and how to pick up a copy, after the jump.

Back to the university: a casual Diana Mini stroll through the gardens in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is home to the Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum, a nice place to find fabulous flora to capture lomo-style.

My friends and I had a day off from school one Monday, so we decided to spend some time away from our mundane lives by getting out of the house, and getting some fresh air! So of course, we decided to abandon city life for a day, and embrace the untamed and wild nature of our neighboring island, Pulau Ubin.

I'll be honest - I never had much luck with the Diana F+. I loved it the first time I used it, then it went downhill from there. I've been picking it back up recently, and well, I think I'm in love again!

A couple of friends and I were trying to think of a good hideaway for the weekend and decided to visit somewhere close to nature: Hort Park. It is a quaint park nestled near the harbor front in Singapore with endearing horticulture and shrubs.

After three days of scenic driving up the west coast, a little more than 1/2 way from San Francisco to Seattle, we woke up in the quaint little city of Florence, OR. We knew that if we got up early and made the 20-minute drive to Sea Lion Caves first thing, we'd get there before the hordes of tourists descended. What we didn't realize was that we'd also arrive before the fog lifted...

A place which makes you dream. Cape Point is the meeting point between the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. I have been there three times already and each time it's been completely different.

Malaysians would describe Pahang as a state, which is full of lush tropical forests, cool mountain air, beaches, lakes, and waterfalls nestled in the arms of mountain crevices. It’s the largest state in peninsular Malaysia. Visitors to Pahang are usually there to visit the state's famous hill resorts, its internationally-known islands and beaches, or Taman Negara, the Peninsula's finest park.

A film that shows the links between humanity and the rest of nature. The powerful images show how our life cycle mirrors the rhythm of our planet. I somehow came across this movie called "Samsara".

Mars on Earth. While planning my trip to Sicily, I was obviously looking forward to visit Mount Etna. I love islands, and I especially love volcanic islands. I have been to Tenerife before so it was exciting to see how Mount Etna looked like.

Every country is blessed with gifts from Mother Nature and I believe that there are other gems out there, aside from the more famous ones, like the Grand Canyon or the Milford Sound, that are waiting to be appreciated if we only took the time to see them. In my birth country of Malaysia, I believe we have our own spots worth discovering too.
