Fancy shooting in an old town with old buildings, worn out paintings, old vintage cars etc.? It is my favorite shooting place too! I love shooting old subjects! The place I'll be writing about in this article is Tiong Bahru, an old town in Singapore.
-
Should I write about this amazing location or should I hide it from everyone, in an attempt that it remains preserved from the touristic madness of the region? Well, if there is someone I would like to show this magnificent place, it is you, dear lomographer!

When you use a reel expired, the results are unpredictable: the colors change and you need more light. I want to tell you about my last experience with an expired reel, which has left me with a very good taste!

In my quest to find films everybody forgot about, I found the ALFO Professional Slide Film. Never really heard about that one, so I started my CSI engine. So this review is rather about the way one researches about the history of gone film-gems than the look of its emulsion.
-
Shooting with expired film is always a gamble. If you remember to expect the unexpected you'll always be pleased. In the end, isn't that what it's all about?

Rated as a medium film speed at 100 ISO, the Fuji Sensia 100 Super Fine Grain is the first choice when you want to do cross processing. Let me show you the results!

Sometimes it is possible to predict the prominent hues of a cross-processed slide film; like how Provia appeared greenish blue and Astia purple and magenta. But Sensia 100 is in a whole different category!
-
There are two things that amazed me in Lomography at first, and still do: multiple exposures and the pink and purple Sensia skies. But my first attempts with this film didn't come out pink at all. Until one day, I finally solved the mystery.
-
Try this if you want more natural-looking lomographs!
-
This film has a lot to offer and at its price point, is not a wimp when compared to the more expensive slides in the market. And guess what? I'm glad I am able to like it because it means I still get quality films and results but with a smaller hole in my pocket.

The Juyongguan Pass is an entrance to a part of The Great Wall of China. If you're into trekking, it's a must visit in Beijing. If you're not a trekker (like me) it'll be a challenging climb, but it's worth it. The scenery is good, the breeze is perfect, and the wall itself is amazing.

My friends asked me to cover their wedding in "lomo". I was also a secondary sponsor so it was a bit challenging. I had to be discrete so I used my LC-A+ and a couple of Fuji slides to get the job done.

Singapore is a highly urbanized country but do you know that there is still one last "kampong" (malay word for village) surviving here? This is hard to believe considering that almost the whole of Singapore has been developed. The younger generation may not even have heard of this last village in Singapore!

La Vie en Rose is not just a movie, it’s what happens when you cross-process Fuji Sensia.
-
This roll of Sensia is one of my favorite slide! I love its red, purple and even pink color shifts after cross processing!
-
Besides Fujifilm's Provia 400X (RXP), it is getting more and more difficult to find fresh ISO400 slide films.
-
Fujichrome Sensia 100 is (was!) Fuji's flagship consumer grade slide film, easy to find in supermarkets at a reasonably cheap price and popular among amateur photographers as a first-time experience with shooting on positive film.

Tokyo is known for its hip, cool, new-age fashion and culture but take a journey into a suburban town just west of Shibuya to see where old meets new in a town molded by narrow and winding streets. The streets are lined by restaurants, bars, and clubs where aspiring musicians take the stage. Here in Shimokitazawa, hard work and endurance are not only seen in the lifestyle and the architecture but it can also be felt in the air.

Go on board to a float in the middle of this event full of colors, sounds and shouts. Don't be shy and smile. As a band of percussionists, we were invited to play at the Gay pride this summer. I was never in one of these events before, I have to admit that I missed really something.
