I picked this camera up in a charity shop for £10 (roughly $16) and it came with the body, a 35-200mm lense, a 28-85mm lense and a gigantic camera bag. Already a bargain!
I then went to a local camera fair and bought 50mm lense and a 28mm lense

The Minolta X-370 is an amazing SLR easy for beginners (and probably pros, but I wouldn't know.)

Reflex camera of the high class. These cameras were produced by factory "KMZ" (Krasnogorsk) since 1958 to 1964.

The magnificent Zenit 12 is a sturdy and reliable 35mm SLR camera with TTL metering system, interchangeable lens (M42 mount), and a reputation of being almost indestructible.

A Canon 35mm SLR from the early 90's has quickly become my go-to camera.

The Nikon FM10 is a manual focus 35 mm film camera manufactured by Cosina. It is of SLR design and was first available in 1995. It is normally sold in a kit that includes a Zoom Nikkor 35-70 mm f/3.5-4.8 zoom lens. Read on to find out why this single lens reflex camera is awesome for beginners!

A great 35mm cam... and she was in the space!!

What can I say when I must talk about the camera wished for years? I can say that I take photos from 1977. Until 1983, perhaps of punctual and sporadic form, but from this moment, photography turned into a love for me. At this time, I began using a SLR, but it was not mine, so I started looking for one. It came from 1990, and it was a Minolta X-300, a second-hand one.

If you crave the past, and long for those washed out, sharp colours of yesteryear, then look no farther.

The Minolta X-570 was introduced in April of 1983. It sold as a less expensive model than the previous X-700. The X-570 is loaded with features that the X-700 didn't have making it ideal for beginning photographers. It only shoots 35mm film but works well with anything you load into it. I chose to add this camera to my arsenal because it is versatile and user-friendly. Because of these qualities, it would make an awesome addition to any Lomographer's collection!

What was once considered a revolutionary camera when it was launched in 1983, this cool SLR is still a great performer!
Innovative metering system - an early testbed for the current and much copied 'Matrix Metering' system commonly found in many Nikon AF cameras as well as those of competitors

Don't turn your nose up just because this isn't a "Lomo" camera, this SLR might just be the start of something beautiful...and it will teach you a thing or two in the process!

I did something VERY strange to the film! It may be quite uncommon for me to do, but I did it with E6!
-
The Nikon F-501 is heavy on 80's technology and what do you know, mine is still working fine! Its a clunky beast to carry around with you but this baby really knows how to satisfy.

Another review about the Olympus OM-1: one of the most influential cameras of our time!

The Pentax Auto 110 is the pocket sized SLR with loads of depth

A great choice for a first SLR if the idea of completely manual controls is daunting to you.
-
The Canon EOS100F is an entry-level 35mm film SLR. This camera won't appeal to everyone, and may not conform to the Lomography 'rules' - except "#10 - break the rules"! I have fun with it, and that's the main thing :)

The Minolta 110 zoom SLR MkII with macro a stunning piece of kit that should fit in your pocket......

We Lomographers always shiver whenever we hear this acronym: SLR. It's a big and heavy chunk of a camera that boasts precision and control. Maybe by now, out of disgust, you’re so ready to run away from here. But not after you read this week’s Tipster and for sure, you’ll realise it’s not that bad after all!
