The Yashica Electro GSN is a 35mm Rangefinder Journalist-style camera, or what I call the "Night Owl" Rangefinder. It's as near as I will get to a Leica for the next couple years.

Yashica Electro 35 GSN: My Redscale Buddy

    Yashica T4 Super

This autofocus jewel has a stunning Carl Zeiss Tessar, 35mm, f/3.5 that makes your pictures glorious feats of photography. It's not super vintage or super Lomo, but it's small and light, and has a superscope which allows you to "shoot from the hip!"

Yashica Samurai X3.0 – Half Format SLR

I don`t know where I first heard of this camera, but it must be something like love at first sight. But it could have also been something like "This thing is so ugly, I got to have it!" Most people will think you have a film camera because of its futuristic look. The film will be transported vertical instead of horizontal, which gives you the normal landscape format. Other half frame cameras must be turned to upright format to get the result of an landscape format. Confused?

    The Forgotten Yashica Diary

A few weeks back my friend and I were discussing photography, and since he knows that I'm an analog geek on all fronts, he mentioned that his grandma had left him a pair of old analog cameras. I got excited right away and wondered if I could see them, but my friend was already one step ahead.

The Yashica MAT 124G Twin Lens Reflex (TLR) camera is a fairly new TLR camera (made from 1970-1986). The lens on the camera produces stunning results and the convenience of a coupled needle-meter makes it a joy to use. It accepts both 120 and 220 film for 6x6 shots, so you get 12 or 24 shots on a roll of medium format film. G model has a all-black finish and gold-plated electrical contacts.

Lynx is like a girl next door with great personality who's on a little chubby side. But why do I often dream of Yashica. Could it be the Radioactive lens giving me brain damage? Could it be the nostalgic feeling of 1960's Japan and Astro Boy?

Yashica Electro 35, a treasure hidden in a drawer

I knew it was there, but never had taken my time to examine it... until lomography appeared in my life. I think I have already told you that my parents are not so much into photography and that I don't know where I took this analogue love from (as a funny anecdote I'll say that my mum doesn't have any pic from her pregnancy months because my dad always loaded the films in the wrong way), so it's not surprising that I hadn't noticed my grandpa's or my uncle's cameras before.
