  Are you tired of celebrations that have been imported from other cultures just for consumerism reasons? I am totally against those things. But, if like in this case, all you have to do is to get surrounded by friends, drinking beer and singing along nice melodies, I couldn't stay against it.

  Recently Amanda Palmer made music history by crowd-funding her latest album (Theatre is Evil) on kickstarter. She exceeded her $100,000 goal by more than $1,000,000! She made an incredible album, with amazing kickstarter backer edition goodies and debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 Chart. I couldn't help but mark my calendar for the Houston show as soon as I found out the venue.

  Everyone who's going to the Festival will tell you this: there's Cannes by day, where people are rushing to attend as many screenings as they can, and there's Cannes by night, where it's all about partying, sipping cocktails, and seeing famous artists performing live onstage. Yesterday, we didn't want to miss Kelis playing live at the Nikki Beach!
