• Mourisca Beach in Bueu

  
  Mourisca Beach in Bueu, Pontevedra (Spain) is probably the best kept secret in the Rias Baixas. Not even during the hottest days of summer does this beach gets swarmed by people. The water here is clean and full of life and in the late afternoon, you can watch fishermen as they set off on their daily task, followed by seagulls and ignoring the competence from a couple of cormorants.

• Virxilo Vieitez at the MARCO

  
  MARCO (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo) in Vigo, Pontevedra, Spain is hosting a temporary exhibition of the work of Galician photographer Virxilio Vieitez. Vieitez, who died in 2008, had stored a great amount of material that his family has just offered to scholars and institutions for public exhibition and study. Thanks to MARCO, it is now possible to see not only Vieitez’s classic works, but also a good number of previously unknown B&W, colour and vintage photographs. The selection was made by Italian curator Enrica Viganò.

• Cabo Silleiro Lighthouse

  
  The lighthouse is placed to 42º 06 ´3 north latitude and 08º 53´ 8 longitude west, to a 30 meters height on the area and 85 meters over the sea level. A white light meets in groups of 2+1 twinkles every 15 seconds on a scope of 35 nautical miles.

  What can we say about the University? Students come and go, some studying, others ,,, only come and go! Universidad de Vigo is characterized by geographical dispersion of its sites. It has three campuses located in three cities in the south of Galicia: the Campus of Vigo, in part at As Lagoas-Marcosende and partly in the city center (Torrecedeira), Campus of Ourense and Pontevedra (A Xunqueira ).

  The Ribeira Sacra is truly a magic place. This area of the North of Spain, located where the Sil and Miño rivers meet, is full of history and breathtaking natural landscapes. Especially worth mentioning are the spectacular Cañones del Sil, which one can admire navigating along the river or from one of the many observatories along the road.

  Vigo is the biggest town in the Northwest of Spain. Whooo!!! There are a lot of peculiar things in our town: Boats, graffiti, Commercial areas, rubbish, misery, happiness, parties, ducks in the gardens, big squares, little ones, … I think that you can meet all you need (more or less …)
