It seems like it was a very long time ago, but it has only been 3 months since I first got my hands on a true Lomo-camera, a gorgeous Black Jack Diana F+. Having browsed the Lomography site quite a bit, I had seen a lot of beautiful redscale shots, and I decided that the Lomography Redscale 100 ISO was going to be my first film. This is a very easygoing film that turned out to be a good choice for a newbie like me.

When I do long exposures, I don’t want to carry bag full of equipment. I’ll just grab my camera, put it on tripod and go. There’s no room for light meter of any kind. But how do I get exposures right? Here’s my tip.

This last year was my first full year in this great community. I got in touch with very nice and interesting people around the globe and I saw many many great pictures which in fact wasn´t helpful for my bank account. I was really inspired by a lot of shots you took and so I badly had to buy this and that and try this or that. But thanks a lot for the input. Here, I want to show you my favorite shots of the last 12 months, one for each month, which is pretty hard to choose. You won't miss my best failures too, and the ones I like from the best of the community.

Photographers who've been in the field for a longtime often cite that budding photographers follow the pack, though this is also not a truism as we aren't the ones to determine the underlying message and inspiration behind another person's creation. After the jump, let Jakob Wagner show you his angle on famous locations through his photographs.
