We came to Szeged (the third largest city in Hungary) to spend a romantic weekend. We couldn't have planned it better, as it was deeply covered in snow when we arrived. It was nothing like the town I remembered.

The island of Batam seems to be synonymous with Singaporeans. Boasting of great food, friendly people, and somewhat reasonable shopping deals, this is an ideal place to unwind after a week’s worth of hectic work.

My sister used to talk about Scotland quite a lot in the last few months: how she enjoyed her time spent there when she was a student and how beautiful and romantic the country is. So we went there and had a wonderful time.

Urca is a super quiet yet nice place for hiking, climbing or just for a relaxing weekend. There are also some nice eateries that you can visit along the way. A sunny afternoon in this exciting neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro can also make for beautiful photos, just bring your lomo camera!

Cascais is a lovely costal town 30 kilometers west of Lisbon. It used to be a Royal summer residence, although it was originally a fisherman village, but now it is a cosmopolitan sea and a getaway for both rich and poor.

Whitstable is a hidden seaside gem of Kent, a county also called "England's gardens". Whitstable is my discovery of the year. It only 1 hour drive away from London (well, apart from some weekends when Blackwall tunnel is closed), or an hour and a half by train from Victoria station (£24 for any time day return ticket).
