Since this year I’m spending in Helsinki, I’m quite anxious about every new art events and exhibitions here. So to my great satisfaction and pleasure, I would like to announce and inform you about this upcoming event: Helsinki Photography Biennial 2012, starting on the 2nd March and open till the end of April.

Very close to the Kamppi centre in the western part of the Helsinki city centre, the Hietaniemi Cemetery houses old tombstones and statues, a park-like atmosphere and a lot of red squirrels. Next to it, there is also a Russian-orthodox graveyard.

Do something good for your health, have a walk in the fresh air and feed your hungry cameras with architecture motifs! Helsinki is full of Art Nouveau architecture. Okay, you have to keep your eyes open. But probably the collection with the highest density of this very appealing style of architecture can be found on the peninsula Katajanokka.

The main hub for Helsinki inhabitants and visitors in the city is the central railway station. Its beautiful Art Nouveau architecture and the bustling atmosphere of people changing directions and ways represent the character of this huge building.
