Once upon a time, when film photography was not some obscure hobby reserved for a bunch of hipsters, everyone did it: pros and amateurs alike, housewives, children and grannies – secret agents even. Take a trip down memory lane with these nostalgic vintage ads.

Rapid was Agfa’s reply to Kodak’s instantly popular Instamatic. Cameras are still widely available on the cheap, but the film rolls have become rare and precious. No problem: revive your Rapid camera in five minutes with this easy tutorial.

During the whole of 2012 I travelled. I spent the year exploring new places, discovering Lomography on the way. But, coming home was the hardest thing. Could analogue save the day?

My favorite combination is feeding my very hungry Lomo LC-A with a roll of Agfa CT Precisa. The camera feels right in the hand, and the result is always surprising.

Sometimes, whilst taking a picture you get a feeling, a rush of adrenaline telling you, "Yes, that is what I was looking for in my picture." Then, you press the shutter. Well, when I combine a specific camera with a specific film, I have the exact same feeling.

I shot some 52 year old (!) film and got some decent results, but it took a bit of planning. Read about it.

The Agfa Pronto is a German battery-less wonder that found its way into my collection by pure chance.
-
It's made by millions, it is easy to find and it's cheap: your analogue friend called the Agfa Clack! If you don't have one, start checking out the flea markets, because this camera won't let you down. It's a perfect companion to your Lomography camera collection.

My first photos (which I'm aware of) were taken with a 110 film, and I just had to shoot this format again. Didn't think I'd get that opportunity again until I found these abandoned films in a shop!

I love my city, but sometimes it is nice to pull the plug and travel to the far ends of the Swedish woods. Here, there is no cellphone connection, no WiFi, and no running water. It is one of my favorite places.

Literally means “Land in the Middle of the Sea” in Balinese language, Tanah Lot has an exotic and scenic appeal making it a popular destination for tourists, both locals and foreigners. It is home of the famous Hindu pilgrimage temple, Pura Tanah Lot, located on a rocky formation surrounded by the open sea.

Although the five old palaces in Seoul have been a great background for a history filled with ups and downs, the centre of it all is Gyeongbok Palace. At sunset, the gates had always been closed, but since October 2012, they already started opening it at night.

I dig deep in the city each time I go for a walk with my 4-month-old son. So if you want to get to know Berlin better - mainly the "Barrios", Kreuzberg and Neukölln - read on after the jump and have a look at the gallery at the bottom.

I found this film in a film bundle. The Agfa Ultra is a very nice film, but not very easy to get. Take a look at the photos I shot using this magic emulsion after the jump!

Listening to Garbage's album "Not Your Kind of People" and thinking about the meaning of their name (garbage is trash, but the band sounds great) I got myself remembering how many times someone threw away a camera (or any analogue device) believing it was trash at the same time that, for us, it's a treasure! Definitely, they are not our kind of people!

Here's a film I found in my house by accident: Agfa Vista 400! Read more after the jump!
-
I tried this film and I love it. Don’t hate me but I prefer it expired. Check out some ideas on how to use Agfa Vista 400 after the jump!
-
Agfa Vista 400 is a good all purpose film. But it's more than that. Try redscaling it for a change!

How my husband's idea for a project inspired a whole family. Beginning with one challenge: £30 to buy a film camera, one black and white film, and one colour film. The start of lomographic adventure!
