• The Sensuous Bricks of the Amsterdam School

  
  There are many reasons to visit Amsterdam: a beautiful century center, drugs, Anne Frank, Rembrandt, a Lomo Gallery Store... When it comes to architecture, there is more to Amsterdam than the 17th century stepped gables and canals. In fact, there's a whole architectural style named after Amsterdam: the Amsterdam school. I took some of my first lomographic photos of these buildings, but they are dying to be photographed by you as well!

• Bergamo Sole: A Quiet Place to Play with Rythm, Geometries and Shadows

  
  A few weeks ago I spent the weekend in my hometown. I took my bike out for a spin and went looking for a place to test out black and white film on my Canon, and this apartment block came to my mind. This housing complex was a project by architects G. Gambirasio and G. Zenoni at the end of the seventies and it's characterized by its red bricks' and regular geometry.

• Main Street Station

  
  Richmond is full of different architectural styles. Quite often you’ll find a historical building directly next to a brand new building, or in the case of Main Street Station you’ll notice that the highway has actually been built around the building! According to www.richmondgov.com, the building was originally built in 1901, and was for the next 74 years a “bustling transportation hub.” However, due to a decrease in passenger rail service, it was closed in 1975. The building remained closed for the next 28 years, and was re-opened in 2003 after years of renovation, and now has limited train service to downtown Richmond.

• Architecture in York

  
  I now wish I’d have snapped more and more! Bu my walking around with my eyes facing skyward, I was surprised to notice that many other people imitated my direction of sight and also began to appreciate whats around and above them. A whole new world, a world i just want to share!

• Battersea Power Station, London

  
  Battersea Power Station, to put it simply, is my favorite building in the world. A giant disused coal-fired power station, it is a beautiful, crumbling cathedral, throbbing with energy, visible from miles away and impossible to ignore.
