This is for all of you Lomographers who are looking for a place with a spectacular view over one of my favourite cities which is Cologne. Most of the tourists who visit Cologne walk along the Rhine River, take a couple of pictures of the wonderful cathedral (the "Dom") and have a few "kölsch"-beers.

The Rheinpark in Duisburg is a quite new created park near the Rhein. Its opening was in May this year with a big party and a lot of good music. It’s positioned between the two quarters Hochfeld and Wanheimerort. There are already a lot of reasons to go there but the park isn't finished yet. There are plans to double the size of the park.

Cologne without the Kölner Dom? That's unthinkable. The official name is "Hohe Domkirche St. Peter and Maria" but who cares, it's the Kölner Dom. The Dom is 157,38m, the third highest church on earth. The cathedral is only 250 meters away from the Rhein. The architectural style is Gothic. From 1880 to 1884 the Kölner Dom was the highest building in the world and it's the most popular sight in Germany. Since 1996 the cathedral is a world cultural heritage.
