When I went to visit my friend in New Zealand, we also took a trip to Australia. We travelled from Brisbane to Sydney in a little camper. As we drove, we constantly saw these traffic signs warning us that we had to look out for passing kangaroos and koalas. We were really hoping we would see one but when this didn’t happen until we visited the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Fig Tree Pocket.

If you're in Australia and it's a warm night, you most likely would be able to smell the barbecue in the air. We love our sausage and steak sangas and if we're feeling adventurous, we might even throw in some kangaroo. Why not make it a romantic affair, get your loved one and check out this second installment of my Spring Fling series.

The history of the postage stamp of Australia, and postal history in general, is interesting indeed as the original, divided, makeup of the country meant that there were 6 separate postal services each with their own, albeit similar, stamps. Enjoy the historical stamps, collected (but not in acid free stamp books) for your viewing pleasure, after the kangaroo-sized jump!
