Markoye is one of the last cities in the north of Burkina Faso just before the border of Mali. It's a little city but is famous for his very big market, with a lot of people coming from Burkina and Mali to exchange their goods at this place.

During my travel to Burkina Faso, I stayed very few time in Ouagadougou, because the main destination was Nouna, in the west part of the country. The only way to go there is with a 4x4 or the regular bus line of "Liza Transport International". As I had no 4x4, I chose Liza.... what a travel!

Sounds like a location in the UK, non? Well, our fine Canadian city _does_ have a fairly British sounding name... Sir Winston Churchill Square is nearly smack-dab-in-the-middle of the "Festival City", and many of our festivals and other events are held here. Whether it's to watch a family movie on a three-storey inflatable screen, or to take in the International Street Performers Festival, this is the place that Edmontonians gather to soak up culture.

One of my last holidays was when i was traveling with my friends to Vietnam. After seeing bustling Hanoi and the surrounding areas we needed to get out to a more quiet and relaxing place. But where to go? We were reading in the guidebook about one Place called Sapa, a place nobody of us had ever heard before. The things we were reading sounded fine but the downside was that we had to go with the train for 16 hours followed by a bus trip of another 4 hours to get there. So we were really considering whether we do this trip or not because we didn´t have so much time especially no time for wasting.

Hong Kong, one of the most beautiful skyline in this planet! I, together with my fellow Lomographers had visited to this country last few months. And I still never forget their daily walk-of-life and cultures.

No it's not a Rolleiflex and it's not a Hasselblad I'm holding in my hands. But people sometimes think so when they see me standing there with my Lubitel pointed at a great motive ready to take the picture. "It's a LUBITEL", I tell them and they just look at me sceptically.

From the sea of red-tinted hues, we now move on back to our themed rumbles from a quite exhilarating trip to redscale and double exposures.

Need a break from sunbathing because you are nearly looking like a tomato? no wind, or too much wind for surfing at Costa de la Luz?

This is a really nice spot in London. There are lovely buildings and great views of the whole of London if you walk to the observatory. There are also museums to keep you entertained to! Because of this there are lots of tourists which is good for candid shots and there are pretty good shops and facilities. It is really easy to get to either by train, bus or even the river!

If you are traveling through Andalucia and coming to Granada, don't miss to climb up the narrow shady streets to Placa Mirador San Nicolas opposite to the Alhambra, where you'll have an magnificent view to the building with the snowy mountains in the background.

I've only been to Spice Island Grenada once for a holiday, but it made a great location to shoot Lomos with my Frogeye and SuperSampler cameras. It certainly lived up to its reputation for being hot, spicy and tropical, just the perfect place for chillin'. It may have changed a little since I was there as it was hit by a hurricane and pretty much devastated later that year, but the Granadians are resilient people and they have been rebuilding their paradise Island. One place I would thoroughly recommend a visitor to go to is the Chocolate factory - not only do they produce wonderful chocolate, the whole ethos of the place is wonderful, it's very much a community enterprise.

When you smile, they smile back (or are totally confused!). I also love the atmosphere: hurrying people, stress, beggars and musicians, crazy people and normal people, the looks in the tunnels, speed, very seldom slowness, quietness. You'll find people who met their fate, crying, hopeless. But also the beginning of love, old couples holding their hands. Nothing is so openminded, so apparent than the people in the public transportation system. And I have a wish for a long-lasting party in the tunnels, together will friends and my Lomo...

Everyone on this planet know the Brazilian carnivals. Everyone have heard about the Rio de Janeiro with that stuff like "the greatest show on Earth", and other bla bla bla. Well, guys, you need to know the Brazilian carnival like I know: diving into the countryside and discovering the real experience on these old and traditional streets in these traditional little Brazilian cities.

In August 2007 it was the 29th annual Pride festival in Vancouver. The festival runs for several weeks, but the highlight is always the Pride Parade, a great fun event for all. This year 385,000 people were there to watch the 2 hours of crazy creative floats, teams, music, costumes and dancing.

This is a market in Udine, Italy. It takes place every week on Monday. It was the first time I went there and wow, I found lots of people and lots of objects to be shot from the hip. Voices everywhere, Chinese everywhere with their "out of market" prices. I found a beggar seated down on the ground and I gave him 20 cents then I took a shot of him. This is a type of life I like to shoot with my Lomo, the simple life of simple people rushing between the stands.

This was the race for life event which took place in Cardiff in June 2006. Race for Life takes place across the country and the idea is that you run to raise money for cancer research ("http://www.raceforlife.org/":http://www.raceforlife.org/). Race for Life has grown to become the biggest woman only fundraising event and is open to women of all ages and all levels of fitness.
