I had just gotten my Diana F+ Sahara, my first experience with analogue photography. I couldn't wait to get started so I loaded up my precious camera with Lomography CN 400 film, and I was ready. I took my camera on a trip shopping to Madison Wisconsin, but most of the roll was taken up with shots from around my house. Find out how it went after the jump!

Another one bites the dust. Fuji Film Imaging Systems, Inc. has officially announced the end of sales for Advanced Photo System (APS) films, production of which already stopped in July 2011. While it hasn't been a popular format for a while now, the news still brings an analogue frown to our faces.

Whenever I go to a beach I never just lie down and start tanning. I get bored. I go and wander about exploring. In Scotland, tanning is very rarely an option; if we had sun all year round I might be content to just lie in the heat. When I’m at a beach I love the sound of the sea and the feel of the sand. This is my review of the cheap 100 speed black and white 120 film from Lomography. It gives nice grey tones and is very forgiving in exposure. It has a very nice detail, although it has its nuances.

You’ve got a film camera; you’re shooting loads and costs are starting to mount up. I know that story. I’ve been there myself. I understand how you feel, because I felt that way when I was paying £20 for b/w dev, prints and scan per roll. I found that developing and scanning my own negatives not only cut out way more than half the cost – it taught me more about photography to boot.

My first lomo love was the Diana F+. From what looks like it could be a basic camera, is probably my most versitile camera in my collection. Be warned this camera started me off on my obsession which currently totals 22 cameras!
