One of the main traditions in the UK around Halloween, is to don your finest scary costume, and go to a nightclub for a night of drinking and dancing and trying not to let your facepaint melt in the heat!

How do you celebrate Halloween? Are you like me, that as a kid, weren't allowed to Trick or Treat because your mum was anti-Americanization? Or were you on the other end of the scale, and was brought up in full fledged corn maze visiting, home decor that resembles a graveyard, building a costume for months kind of household? Well, let me tell you about my Halloween memories.

It's that time of the year again when, on any given Friday or Saturday night in October, anywhere around the world, you could stumble upon a lederhosen clad lad and a dirndl dressed lass. Luckily, my birthday is also in October so last year, we were able to combine the two in my hometown on the Central Coast of Australia having a big Oktoberfest celebration.

So when we were given this month's CitySlicker task the first thing that sprang to mind as something that made me instantly think of Leeds, was the Otley Run. It is the first thing you are introduced to when you move here as a student, and it is the place where a lot of bonding takes place!

Bay Harbour Market, truly organic and creative! I heard a lot about The Old Biscuit Mill Market of Cape Town, but I was glad we went to Bay Harbour Market instead. It truly has a community spirit and a very relaxed atmosphere, with almost no tourists at all.

You spend your holidays at the beach? Enjoy and bathe in the sun and then refresh yourself in the water? Well, that´s what most people do on the beach. Not me. Living in Leeds with its huge student population, I often feel overwhelmed by the vast range of bars, pubs and clubs on offer and I have written articles about a few of them before. The first time I went to this pub was during the World Congress in 2007. A group of us were wandering around the Chinatown/SoHo area after the day's festivities and stumbled upon it after being disappointed that so many places closed early. De Hems is open until midnight all days of the week save for Sunday. What a happy surprise as this is a wonderful pub.

Why is it that we celebrate the New Year so? People put on silly hats, drink, dance, sing and party like it's 1999. This kind of carnival is celebrated mainly on the turnover of the new year on the calendar but in some cultures it is celebrated on different days. One thing is for sure, you can capture great photos at this carnival wherever you are in the world!

The lovely Diana F+ captured our Berlin holiday like no other! After finding her patiently waiting for us on the shelf in a small shop in Amsterdam, she instantly became our new best friend! We pointed her all over the place but had the most fun with her when we took her out on the town in Berlin!

Let your instincts lead you on your next analog adventure! Team up with a buddy, take a drink or two (or three), grab your camera of choice, and snap, snap, snap away! Imagine this: 43°Celsius heat with four fans circulating hot air. That’s where my best friend Nick and I found ourselves one crazy-sweltering day this summer – a day that would later turn into one of the best lomo adventures!

Since the 16th Century, the ever-sociable Sevillanos have been enjoying a stroll, or paseo, in the wide, tree lined promenade called the Alameda de Hercules. In the four hundred and some years it has existed, the Alameda has been everything from a fashionable meeting place for the upper classes to a run down area with drug and prostitution problems. Now it's one of the busiest, liveliest and most funky places in the city.
