Both the Thanda and Phinda Game Reserves are located in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal about 20 km north of the city of Hluhluwe (pronounced shish-louie). This area is situated on the northeastern portion of South Africa encompassing an array ecosystems ranging from mountains to rolling hills and plateaus to the Indian Ocean. However, the real gems of this area are located in the bush: Safari style.
