When I was a teenager I had to cycle to and from school everyday, spending 40 minutes of peddling through the city on my much loved bicycle. I really enjoyed those moments. What I didn't enjoy were those moments where I got to my bike and realized I had forgotten to put a cover on my saddle, which meant that I would have to cycle home with a wet behind.

One of the most awesome things about Lomography, in my opinion, is how we are able to bring new life into old concepts. Studio photography has been friends with the Tungsten phenomenon for a while, but thanks to the hard work of the Lomographic Society International, this beautiful film is now readily available for a relatively inexpensive price! I promise you will fall for it, for sure.

Zandvoort is a beautiful place at the coast of the Netherlands. It’s only about 20 minutes away from Amsterdam. I remember the visits we made here when I was still a kid, back when Zandvoort was the beach for people who had little less to spend. Currently Zandvoort is more of a hip place where everyone can be found though.

At a ten-minute walk from Rotterdam Central Station (or a ten-minute bike ride from my home) is Rotterdam Zoo (Dutch name: Diergaarde Blijdorp). For me it's a bit of nostalgia, but this is also one of the most beautiful zoos in Europe. The enclosures are spacious and green, there are almost no fences (especially ditches) and the amount of animals is enormous.

The Gallery Store Amsterdam is open, Lomography the Netherlands is up and running, so it's time to introduce ourselves. Please meet the Dutch Lomography Crew!

Since my boyfriend is a huge sailing fanatic, and I enjoy lounging around on boats, we decided to do one more boating session before he moves to the USA. His dad, a sailing mate, brother, and brother's girlfriend joined us and it was a great sunny day on the water!

After shooting 10 rolls worth of pictures, I discovered that it's not that practical to have all those plastic sheets with negatives lounging around. I wanted to scan some negatives again and had to fight myself through a jungle of images to find out which group they were in. And it's always the one you check last...
