The famous ruins is a must-visit whenever you go to Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Philippines. It showcases what is left of the Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson Ancestral Home, a rich sugar baron. The mansion was the largest residential structure ever built there. Sometimes considered as the city's Taj Mahal because it was said to be built for his beloved wife, Maria Braga, a Portuguese from Macau whom he met during one of his vacations in Hong Kong.

This is the first year we have had a proper garden as we have bought our home and are finally able to do nice things to it. I am so excited about this opportunity and am going to make the most of all the opportunities to shoot outdoors in the longer spring and summer daytimes.

A few weeks ago I spent the weekend in my hometown. I took my bike out for a spin and went looking for a place to test out black and white film on my Canon, and this apartment block came to my mind. This housing complex was a project by architects G. Gambirasio and G. Zenoni at the end of the seventies and it's characterized by its red bricks' and regular geometry.

How I decided to play my Christmas photo mission lomographically, the story. At first the family was a bit dubious, but in the end they loved the picture and it was a great experience for me as well; will do again... except that next time I'll take a bigger hand luggage with me, better than risking xray damage on film for those precious memories!

I got myself lots of expired films from a shop in town. Yet, a lot of things came though my mind on what to do with them. One of the simplest solution is to make a homemade redscale film.

Since I got into analogue photography, I´ve only developed one roll in the lab: they took one day to develop and scan it, and then I found out they hadn’t scanned the sprocket holes… I really needed a scanner and knowledge on processing/developing!!
