A wise man named Confucius once said that if you do what you love for a living, then you’ll never work a day in your life. London-based photographer and cinematographer Toby Lockerbie thinks otherwise.

While browsing for lenses in the stores along Long Street in Cape Town, the people from Green Renaissance, a film production and media agency, met a man called The Collector and were fortunate enough to get a sneak peak of his impressive camera collection.

Paper filigree. I don't think many of you know what is it, except people with art degree. But, why don't we try to make a camera in such a way?

This last year was my first full year in this great community. I got in touch with very nice and interesting people around the globe and I saw many many great pictures which in fact wasn´t helpful for my bank account. I was really inspired by a lot of shots you took and so I badly had to buy this and that and try this or that. But thanks a lot for the input. Here, I want to show you my favorite shots of the last 12 months, one for each month, which is pretty hard to choose. You won't miss my best failures too, and the ones I like from the best of the community.

We've all played around with paper when we were young. We folded them, colored them and even glued them together. Some people even take it to the next level and make origami. But Benja Harney has taken paper art into an even higher level. He is someone we can call a paper engineer.

Let us welcome Johann Affendy Mahfoor, one of Malaysia’s famous lomographers who took the lomography world by storm with his collection of gig photos! Finding out that listening to his beloved heavy music is not enough, he seized the opportunity to see the band performing live on stage while he photographed them using his 35mm film cameras.

He started to click the analogue shutter in the year of 2007 and he never looked back. His love towards analogue photography will never stop and, now, he is one of the most noticeable faces among the true Lomographers in Malaysia.

To re-live a moment through a fixed image - This is the principle of photography. But when you experience the moment through music or a perpetual movement, the game gets more complicated. Your imagination and your passion for the music breathes life into the photos you create – What you capture on film turn these fractions of seconds into a melody as real as the musical notes you listen too....Your film is your partition!

Every photographer needs a peer to bounce ideas of. Somebody to inspire them, drive them and kick them in the ass and back them better behind the lens. Jared is that guy. That's why he's one of my LomoPeople.

I love photos that capture a moment in time, those un-staged, un-posed windows into a split second in history where people are being truly themselves. Instances of pure passion, pure honesty, undistorted and captured forever in a single frame. This is why Lomography and its analogue lifestyle inspires me. Digital photography can be monitored, edited, deleted - analogue is burnt into the film and is truly frozen forever in time.

If you're like me, which I assume you are since you've made it this far on the internet, you love some aspect of photography if not simply snapping away at everything around you. For me I love cameras, I love looking at cameras I love planning what camera to buy next, I love learning about all the thousands (or maybe just hundreds) of different types of cameras that are out there. Loving something like that is never enough, you have to share it with the world, at least I think so.

Lomography and music are for me, passions I can't live without. So it's logical that to use them during concerts was going to fill my life of fabulous moments.

If one thing is certain, it is the craze of the Brazilians about football. Not only that they hit the Penta, the completion of five world championships, Brazilians dance with the Ball as if they would draw calligraphy on porcelain. So it was about time to see them doing their thing. Best Spot to witness some good sport is the Morumbi stadium of SPFC, São Paulo Futebol Clube.
