Sekinchan, literally means "village suitable for plantation" in Chinese. It lives up to its name as it contributes to rice plantation in the state of Selangor. Apart from the scenic greenish paddy fields, Sekinchan, being situated by the sea, which serves fresh seafoods at the restaurants along the main road, has attracted many of the local Malaysian people to this small town.
