An Italian proverb states: "Eyes are the mirror of the soul". Eyes are wonderful, a great subject for great photos! Enjoy!

In the last few weeks, I experienced some unhealthy days, panicking about my good eyesight, having terribly itching feeling in my eyes and trying not to scratch them day and night. As a lomographer and a person who can barely survive without good eyes, it was a little disaster for me, especially when I woke up with red eyes and tears falling down on my cheeks without the actual intention of crying.

I spent a whole year taking photos of my baby and one thing that quickly became apparent was the difference between eyes being in focus and eyes that weren't and the effect on the photo. Although we're almost taught to break the rules I still believe the eyes are just as important in Lomography.

Lee Jeffries is a photographer who captures more than just pictures. He lives in the United Kingdom, and photographs life, particularly of the homeless. An encounter with a homeless girl changed his outlook on street photography forever. Now, his portraits are open books, each one almost penetrating you with the tale of that someone gazing right back at you.

An action that everyone can take! The protagonists are objects encountered on the street. Eyebombing is the act of setting googly eyes on inanimate things in the public space. Ultimately the goal is to humanize the streets, and bring sunshine to people passing by, a photo project by an artistic collective.

Just outside of St. Louis, Missouri, is an amazing place. Laumeier Sculpture park is a lomographer's dream location. The park is filled with gigantic sculptures that rest along several trails. Any one of these sculptures provides enough photo opportunities to fill rolls of film, but the park contains dozens of wonderful works for you to shoot.
