A local magazine called on Lomography Hungary for a special project. So we got our trusty Diana F+ El Toro and stuck it to our Vespa scooter which became the perfect sightseeing vehicle, ready to discover the beautiful spots of Budapest. The outcome was great!

Chain Bridge (Lánc Híd) crossing the Danube River is the oldest and most beautiful bridge that connects Buda and Pest. It is a suspension bridge and was opened in 1849.

The Budapest Embassy store is located in downtown Budapest, where most of the clubs, restaurants, pubs, cafes can be found. The store is in a 170 years old house which was converted to a ’ruin pub” several years ago. It became a determining part of the nightlife in Budapest and serves as a cultural meeting point for citizens and tourists as well. On December 11 the big opening of the Lomography Embassy Store took place there. Check out the pics!

Communism in Hungary may have ended in 1989, but on the outskirts of Budapest there is a park where you can still feel it. After the fall of communism, citizens of Eastern European cities understandably began destroying the buildings, statues and symbols of the era and regime that had oppressed them since 1949.
