The Lomography Gallery Stores are a place for many wonderful things, including workshops, parties, meetups with other Lomographers, film processing, and all of your favorite cameras and accessories. But we are also a Gallery space, bringing you all-analog exhibitions that are sure to inspire. At the Lomography Gallery Store Gramercy in NYC, we will be featuring one of our very own during the month of June. Come by to support Nicole Neenan as she exhibits her work from her recent trip to Thailand!

This is my guide to as island getaway to Cha Am Beach in Thailand. I went for a getaway to the quiet and serene Cha Am Beach with my family last month! Read more after the jump!

Before I went there, I heard that it was supposed to be the "Maldives of Thailand", and true enough, when we finally arrived, Koh Payam was an absolute delight - and more! Read more about our adventures after the jump!

The weekend after I came back from my holiday in Bangkok, I went to The Big Thai Show in Singapore! I just couldn't get enough of Thailand!

The saddest part of a holiday is when it’s over. Yet, there is still one more location where you can capture a few more photos before you head home – the airport.

An ISO 400 film is great for street photography: fast enough to capture a fleeting moment, yet still usable in low-light situations. But, how will a roll that expired two years ago behave in an Olympus PEN EE-2 half-frame camera? How will it turn out when cross processed? Here are the results.

When I’m holidaying in Bangkok and know that shopping will be my main activity, the Pathumwan Princess Hotel is my hotel of choice. Why Pathumwan Princess Hotel? The hotel’s website says it all, “The hotel's location is unique, sitting adjacent to MBK Center and opposite Siam Square. Surrounded by some of Bangkok’s best retail and entertainment facilities, you really are spoilt for choice.”
-
Siam Square is one of the hippest places to be in Bangkok, Thailand. Not surprisingly, it’s the place to be at after school for many students.

As small as it may be, the splitzer for Lomo LC-A+ can lead you to a brave new world when it comes to double exposure. Expose a whole roll with the splitzer covering half of your lens and then shoot again covering the already exposed half. Voila! You have both the "surprise" factor and the assurance of a clearly exposed double exposure. Read on for details.

Bangkok’s Chinatown is a major attraction for both Thais and tourists. It’s also where you can get some of the best street shots, which is great as a confidence builder, especially if you’re a budding street photographer.

Bangkok’s Chatuchak Weekend Market is the place to go to for great deals. Shoppers are spoilt for choice when it comes to the variety of things to buy. But it is also a great place for some street photography!

It’s really amazing what this stretch of road between Bangkok’s two most popular shopping centers, Mah Boon Krong and Platinum Mall, has to offer for street photographers.

Although not strictly speaking of a "Gap Year", in 2002, my friend and I decided to buy a one-way ticket to Australia via Thailand and Singapore. We had no concrete plans but thought we would see what happened along the way. Ten years later, I look back at that time as one of the best in my life!

You are a dirty film, very dirty! Aren’t you ashamed of yourself? Exposing yourself blank in front of all those people? And look at all the grain in your face and on your body! I cannot leave you for a bit and really, I don’t want to!

Color negative film often doesn’t appeal to me. There seem to be endless variation and colours are not as reliable as slide film, and cross processing it is basically not an option. But it is the variety, that makes analogue photography ever exciting and the Voigtländer V200 is a choice that catches more of my attention lately!
