Summer has arrived in NYC, and at the Lomography Gallery Store Gramercy we are excited to present 18 analogue filled workshops throughout the month of June! Join us for walking tours at the Gramercy shop, including a trip to the Union Square Farmer's market, the 10th annual delicious Big Apple BBQ in Madison Square Park, a Birthday Bash Blue Hour for our very own LC-A+ (and another new little member of our family!) as well as a Bar Hop all out doors and on roofs. On March 14th, my friends and I, with help coming from Escuela FotoArte, opened our exhibition, "Sabana Grande es Una Fiesta", the result of four workshops we had in this photography school.

Central Tejo is not only a beautiful building by the river, but also a fun museum to visit in Lisbon. It used to be a thermoelectric plant built between 1908 and 1951 and is located near the river Tejo, in Lisbon's touristic neighborhood, Belém. This emblematic brick building, with its high iron windows reaching to the sky is undeniably beautiful.

For 25 years, the European Media Art Festival (EMAF) has been taking place in Osnabrueck, in Lower Saxony. The EMAF is firmly established in the world of art and media and opens the doors from 18th to 22nd of April 2012. Until March 24th, M.I.A Gallery hosted an exhibition of photographs by Malian photographer and Hasselblad Award winner Malick Sidibé. The exhibition in Seattle consisted of over 30 photographs by Sidibé. As you can see, Sidibé’s work focusses mostly on black-and-white studies of popular culture in 1960s Bamako. It includes portraits both of people and of life so to speak, but the human element is always present in each picture.

From March 7 until August 5, 2012 the Tim Burton exhibition will take place at the Cinémathèque in Paris. Numerous drawings and sketches, paintings, photos, figurines, mini movies are on display and recount the unique world of the film director. If you like Tim Burton’s work, and live or plan to go to Paris during the time on the exhibition, don’t miss it!
