Robert Doisneau (1912-1994) was a French photographer. In the 1930s he used a Leica on the streets of Paris; together with Henri Cartier-Bresson he was a pioneer of photojournalism. He is renowned for his 1950 image Le baiser de l'hôtel de ville (Kiss by the Hôtel de Ville), a photo of a couple kissing in the busy streets of Paris.

On a Sunday, summer morning I decided to take a break from the typical touristic sites around Paris and headed to Parc des Buttes Chaumont, located on a hill in the northeast side of Paris in the 19th arrondissement. I hoped I could relax and get away from the crowds but was I in for a surprise...a pleasant surprise!

The village of Charonne was annexed to the city of Paris in 1860, and it's now part of the 20th arrondissement, near Père Lachaise Cemetery. If you're visiting Paris, and you decide to visit Père Lachaise cemetery, you should definitely take some time to visit this lovely part of Paris. What's so amazing about it? You can still have a village-feel inside Paris!

I had bought a roll of Rollei Nightbird in 35mm some months ago and I was saving it for a special occasion. In early July I had the chance of spending a weekend in Paris and I just focused mostly on taking photos. I loaded my Lomo LC-A+ with this film roll and gave it a try. These are the results and my feeling about it.
