After seeing some very wild effects of film destroying with chemicals, drinks, etc, I thought I'd give it a bash. Lets just say I was slightly disappointed...

A continuing series where I review films and cameras I spent less than 5$ on. Found in second hand stores, on-line auctions and freebies, these are the forgotten gems -and not so gems.

A review of the Vivitar v4000 with a Ricoh 50mm lens – find out why this camera would make a good option if you are considering buying your first single lens reflex 35mm film camera. For those who already own an SLR, this would make a more than decent secondary shooter!
-
In part one I compared and contrasted features of four similar wide-angle Vivitar point and shoot cameras, including the legendary Ultra Wide and Slim. In part two, I compare the results of the shootout and you can decide which looks best. You might be surprised.

Never ever underestimate the power of this cheap, rubber, plastic camera: the Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim! Let me tell you why after the jump!
-
The Vivitar IC 101 is a very, very cheap camera with a wide lens. Mine was panoramic until I got the knife out. Once modified it distorts but surprisingly doesn't vignette.
-
It didn't take me long to fall in love with my first analogue camera, and it was definitely love at first Lomo! Funny enough though it wasn't my first choice of camera, but I'm glad it's the one I went with.

I did a side-by-side comparison of La Sardina with Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim, and discovered some very interesting things. Read more in the second installment of the review!

I've been to Seoul several times already but it was only during my last trip that I got to visit Namsan Tower. I guess it's because I was all alone that time so I was free to go wherever I want - and at a leisurely pace. While the climb up made me all googly-eyed already because I thought I'd just pass out from exhaustion, all the effort was actually worth it because it's one of my favorite touristy spots in Seoul.

It truly easy to use the Vivitar EZ35. It may not be as slim as the Vivitar UWS, but it can be you day and night camera.
-
Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim (UWS) was my first toy camera. It was the beginning of my love towards Lomography.

There aren't many film types I've used and not liked in one way or another. On the other hand there are some films I've used and I've been utterly amazed. Which category does Fuji Sensia 400 fall into? Read on to find out!

September 2011, Marije (s0y) and I finally took the trip we wanted to do for so long, visit Ukraine, Kiev and in particular, the 30km exclusion zone around Chernobyl, with the ghost town of Prypiat. When I saw the bumper carts, I almost cried. Afterwards, we were exhausted; there was so much to take in. And bringing too many cameras is never a good idea. ;)

Lanyu is the pearl on the Pacific Ocean whose beauty has attracted numerous people to set their feet on it, and I've already started planning my second trip to the isle when my plane touches down on its land.

Why drink Yakult? Because it is a probiotic milk that can bring so many benefits to kids and adults alike. Because of its distinct composition--live Lactobacilillus Casei Shirota, I made this crazy experiment and wondered how these bacteria could possibly affect the photos. I thought if it's good for our "insides," then perhaps it will also do our films good. Here are simple steps in making your film healthy and be happy with the result.

This is a different kind of redscale film, from the famous Rollei brand, another member of the "creative edition" series.

I don't own many accessories for my few cameras and like to travel light but I do regularily make use of one. Not only is this my favourite accessory but I adsolutely could not do without it. You could say that I love it even. I love it so much I'm going to marry it one day!
