• Braving the Winter Cold: Hiking at Yongmunsan Mountain (용문산) in the Snow

  
  Want to be hardcore? Want to test your endurance? Then why not climb a 1,157.2 m (3,797 ft) mountain in the middle of the snowy winter cold. And why not get lost in the mountain while you are at it, hiking through the fresh snow only to end up at a Buddhist temple where monks proceed to give you chocolate and drive you off the mountain. Yup, my hike on Yongmunsan Mountain (용문산) just 45km out of Seoul, definitely gave us an exciting day trip away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

  The OC Marketplace is open every Saturday and Sunday at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Southern California. You can find anything and everything from homemade beef jerky to used RVs. Arm yourself with your favorite camera, lots of film, and a little money and you're guaranteed to have a fun day.

  Last month, there was a 3-day, 2-night event called Flipflops Beach Carnival Kuching 2011 at Damai Puri and Spa at Santubong, Sarawak, Malaysia. I attended this carnival with my friends because I won passes to go. The events there included a concert, rave party, water sports, and on-the-beach activities.

• Downtown Marietta, Georgia: A Lomographic Treasure!

  
  A short 20-minute car ride north of Atlanta, Georgia lies the slightly older city of Marietta. Yes, older. Older, and chock full of history. During the American Civil War, Marietta was the last thing keeping General Sherman from burning Atlanta to the ground (that's for those of you who haven't seen "Gone With the Wind") and a fierce, ugly battle was fought here. Nowadays it's a lively, attractive city with things to do nearly every weekend in the summer and a ton of stuff to photograph.

• ★ Historic Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, GA

  
  I woke up on a beautiful Saturday morning and had no plans other than going downtown to a friend's yard sale. So the first thing that I did was grab my camera bag and head out of the house. I knew I wanted to take some photos but wasn't sure where. After browsing through the great yard sale items, I asked my friend if he knows any places close by that I can snap a few pictures of. He brings up Oakland Cemetery which is only about a mile away from his house.

• What Lies Beneath the Fog: Revisiting Ngong Ping Village and the Big Buddha

  
  This Lomo location has been featured before but a veil of thick fog was covering it. Thankfully it was quite sunny during my trip so I was able to get a good look - and lots of lomographs of this popular tourist destination in Hong Kong.

  I never knew that traveling back in time would be so easy, and so interesting! Folkemuseum in Oslo is an open air museum that hosts many activities and a varied programs during the summer months. It's especially great destination to spend a day with your family.
