Mr. Cryboy and Atria007.

I like to take photos of the street life of my city, especially public events, sports, and the life around the wonderful lake. This time, I used an uncommon camera for me, the amazing Supersampler, loaded with a Kodak Ultramax 400 film roll. Read more about my impressions about this camera!

Inspired by the photography of Stephen Shore, one of the best interpreters of Pop Art movement and of the strict school of the New Topographics, I decided to dedicate a tribute to this great artist with a series of pictures taken in Como with my Kiev 4AM equipped with a Jupiter 12 (a 35mm lens).

From some years, there is also in Milan the traditional pillow fight event. This year, the local Lomography Gallery Store organized a workshop, a great occasion to take some photos of this funny public event. Read more!

Every year, there is a great fun fair in my city, Como, in the period between the third week of March and the second week of April. There are many carousels and stalls and entertainment for all ages. Even this year, I took some photos of this public event, in a solo photowalk, tasting some of my preferred rides.

Burano. I don’t think that many tourists (but also Italian people from other regions of Italy) know about this little island of the archipelago of Venice. The architecture of this island is completely different from Venice and the key aesthetical point of this island is the huge amount of colors.

Venice has recently been nominated as the most beautiful city of the world, as a tourist destination. I was born in the nearest town to Venice, called Padua (or Padova), so it has been always so simple for me to go to Venice for the Carnival or just to walk.

This year's spring is not coming in the North of Italy. At the beginning of April we have rain, cloudy days, cold weather. So, just after the Easter holidays, I decided to make a short visit on the East Coast of the Sicily, with a day trip in the town of Taormina. Here, I took many photos using my Olympus 35 RC camera. At the end of the day, I found a great surprise in the sky. Read more!

Although spring is late in coming, I have not renounced my walks in search of photographic subjects. In this case, in a long walk from Porta Venezia to Piazza Duomo in Milan, I dedicated my time to capture some nice street artists. Just watch!

Every year Como hosts a traditional Easter Fair. As with each year, I visit it to take pictures, strictly in analog! While I'm waiting for the new editions, I propose to you some photos taken last year with my Lomo LCA+ RL camera!

I love film. In fact, I love analog photography and some other vintage stuff, but 99% of my love goes to my little
camera babies! Each day, I spend time on analog photography between cameras, films, and developing. Come take a look!

A few days ago, the great architectural photographer Gabriele Basilico died in Milan. With this translation of my article (that I published in Italian language few months ago), I want to make a little tribute to this great teacher and gentleman.

The long winter is almost over! A few more weeks and it will be spring! Although here in Como the weather is still cold, I invite you to explore some small but delightful oasis of green in my town, where I like to stay to relax and to meet old and new friends in the springtime!
-
As you know from my previous articles, I love swimming, I love being in the water, and I love being outdoors. And this year, for my spring and Easter break, I don't need to go very far because just a few miles from my house, there is a small lake on which one can go canoeing -- a "paradise" for amateur and sports club members.

If you live in Northwestern Italy and need a small break from city life, then Liguria is the go-to option! The small town of Laigueglia there is there perfect place to relax and enjoy a weekend of sun, sand and sea.

Some days ago I bought a Zorki 1 camera at the Lomography Online Shop. Great and tiny rangefinder camera, with a wonderful collapsible lens, a very sharp Industar 50/3,5! I bought this camera for street photography, but in this case I used it in an unconventional way!
-
In this article, I present to you the masks of one of the oldest and most traditional carnivals in Italy, the Schignano Carnival, famous for its hand-made wooden masks.

My Zorki 6 is a terrific camera for street photography! A little and precise rangefinder, with a classic lens, a Russian clone of the famous Leica Elmar 50/3,5. Together with a Rollei 400S, an high contrast film with a spectral sensitivity extended to the near infrared, is a perfect combinations for street photography in a winter day, when the sun is pale or covered by clouds, or in the presence of a mild winter mist.
