It’s probably a well known fact that Andy Warhol and his Polaroid cameras got along really well. Images of Warhol with his instant companions are not too rare and this certainly comes as no surprise from the king of consumerism and instant gratification himself.

Around 3 years ago, I got my father to dig out the albums from when he and my mother met and the traveled in England and Europe. I scanned the images I loved and made it my quest to re-create the images in the places they were taken.

Santa Fe, 1943. A 3-year-old little girl asked her Dad why she couldn't see the photograph that he had just taken of her. The Dad was challenged by this question - and within an hour he had cooked up an idea and scurried to a friend's house to discuss the possibility of a camera that would spit out the picture after exposure.

Is your glass half full or half empty? I carry too many cameras at one time. I don't say this because of some generally accepted number that is "too many". Like anyone can even know that. I say that I carry too many cameras because of the physical limitations of having only 2 arms and 1 back. This situation occasionally leads to an awkward moment, the worst of these being the "drop". That's right, the hair on the back of your neck just stood up...rightly so. No camera-loving fool wants to drop his or her camera. No matter how many he or she has.

You're never too old to go back to analogue! I remember saving up babysitting money to purchase my first analogue camera, the Polaroid One, in 1979. I was so thrilled to own my very own instant camera! I worked extra hard at household chores to earn money for my precious packs of 600 film. Every time we'd go to the drugstore I'd have to stock up because you just never knew when a photo opportunity would arise.
