As young as I am, I didn't think I'd be heading off to Bali to represent my university. I was there for a week for the Asian Pacific Media Forum. Amongst all the seminars and gatherings, I was able to find some time to be with "beauty". Me and a few others were finally able to sneak off to hit the beach.

A Bahay Kubo is a Traditional Filipino house possibly from the Spanish word “Cubo” or cube . My aunt had one made as a quick get away from troubles in the city. With the exception of a few concrete bases the entire construction is of dry straw and the ever dependable bamboo. But don’t let this pre-Hispanic form of architecture fool you. These traditional houses were perfectly suited to a country frequented by typhoons and earthquakes. They are normally elevated from the ground and the materials that are used could easily be gathered and used to rebuild the house just in case the forces of nature prove to be a handful.

Pedrogão beach is located at north of Vieira Beach, Marinha Grande, on the Portuguese central Atlantic coast (it belongs to Leiria district) and it is one of my favorite beaches nearby; during the winter it is a very quiet and peaceful beach, during the summer it is full of life and fun at any time of the day or night, the village don’t have that traditional style like Vieira beach, architecture is very simple, the beauty of Pedrogão resides on its sandy and sunny beaches and on its bars and restaurants which are located right next to the beach.

Don't be intimidated by the name. It is possible. IF you know the way. Just don't miss the turn. Park your car right up the top and go all the way down by foot. Before you start making your descent, you will be halted on the top of the cliff as your sight fills up with a spectacular view of the beach below and you will stand in AWE for about 4 minutes.

Fårö, spelled _Faroyna_ in 15th century Swedish, is a small (113 sq. km) island located just north-east of the larger island of Gotland. Until recently the island was a military protection area rigorously shielded from foreigners, but luckily that has changed now...

In France, between Cannes and St Raphael, lays the mass of Esterel. It's a 280 million years old volcanic mass of red porphyry falling down the Mediterranean sea. The contrast between the flamboyant red rocks and the indigo blue of the sea is breathtaking.

The Calamian group of islands in Palawan intrigued me for so long. Busuanga Island, being the biggest and most populated, is the jump-off point. You can get to Busuanga in about an hour by plane or 14 hours by sea travel. I fell in love with this place in 2007 on a spontaneous weekend getaway. I was raving so much that I made a second trip, and this time, I made reservations and a list of places to see.

People called Bali as The Island of God. It is probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever been from its beaches to its mountain. Bali is paradise, from the moment you step out of the airplane the smell of Bali strikes you.

Located just across the Golden Gate Bridge on the Marin side (so not San Francisco for all you non-locals), the Marin Headlands offer some of the most scenic trials, beaches, and historic sites to explore in the Bay Area. Spectacular views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge are everywhere on a clear day. The Headlands are easily reached by taking the last exit before the Golden Gate Bridge if you are coming from Marin.

I like Spain. The people range from muy freaky to muy gentil and it is always a joy talking to them. Additionally they have rather my height than the ones from the Teutonian tribe, which makes it much easier to integrate for me, too. And the country has some exceptional beautiful spots offside the normal touristic routes - off the record. Quite a while ago I have been to Tossa de Mar, which lays a one and a half hour cardrive away from Barcelona.
