I claim: you can´t get more authenticity than with people at work! I guess a lot of poeple can´t think of stepping into a store,bakery, coiffeur or whatever, take out their camera and ask if they can take a few pictures. But you being an (silent) observer ensures you getting authenticity and you decide the moment which is worth being captured - not the right facial expression you need to quick pull the trigger.

In 2012, other than carry on taking photos, I think I would like to become a better technical photographer. As much as I love a point-and-shoot, there are still far too many blurry shots where I have failed to set my distance. I think if I could get to grips with some more complex cameras, then my focusing on the others would be a lot better. These are my camera aims for 2012.

This is the first year we have had a proper garden as we have bought our home and are finally able to do nice things to it. I am so excited about this opportunity and am going to make the most of all the opportunities to shoot outdoors in the longer spring and summer daytimes.

As I look forward to the rest of 2011, I have thought of an excellent resolution that I would really like to put into practice. I think that if I manage to carry out the resolution, it will massively improve my lomographs and the quality of my shooting through both better context and more practice.

We all like to shoot like crazy, with our cameras around our neck and in our bags: shoot, shoot, shoot and don't think! But did you ever try to shoot with a gun, and not with a camera?? I always asked myself why we're using the same verb "to shoot" for photography and when using guns or weapons.... Well, once I changed the weapon and practiced some "shooting sport" with a rifle, but didn't forget my camera to show you how it was! :)
