Spring has sprung and that means only one thing for us... the last chance to get our shred on before the snow turns to water! So we escaped the city to head to the picturesque Austrian Alps for Snowbombing, the Mayrhofen-based festival that perfectly combines a week of snowboarding with partying.

Take a sunny Sunday, three buddies on a hike, a bunch of analogue cameras and different rolls of film et voilà - a memorable summer day!

Summer is coming, and the cities will became very hot in the next months. So, I present to you a wonderful alpine region that I love when I need to escape from the summer heat!

The Alpine lakes are wonderful places to having fun, to swim and dive! In this article I propose to you some black and white photos taken with my old Fed 2 camera during my bicycle touring in Switzerland. Enjoy!

A review of a slide film that's now hard to find (in Italy), but with amazing results that always leaves me speechless, even after so many years.

These aren't sketches using graphite pencils or images by day that have been reversed in color. They are long exposures done in the night by advertizing photographer Michael Schnabel. The lines of the jagged rock formations, the stillness of lakes, and the powdery quality of the snow are hyper detailed. It takes a master of light to master the darkness.

My most memorable travel escapade in 2011 was a one-week hike through the Alps. I grew up in the south of Germany and my parents always took me to the Alps. They love to walk and I didn't. Now I live far away from from those huge mountains, in a medium-sized city. I actually started to miss them.

Innsbruck is situated on the western side of Austria, in between the German and the Italian border. You could practically be in three different countries in less than half a day. It is the capital of the state of Tyrol.

On the edge of Italy, so far north it's almost Austria, lies one of the finest sights of the Dolomite region. The Drei Zinnen (or Tre Cime di Lavaredo, if you prefer Italian) can definitely take your breath away.

A spontaneous trip to the top of Germany. It took us awhile to get there but with enough effort, we were finally able to see the spectacular view from the top. Zugspitze, the highest mountain in the country truly is a worthwhile place to visit whether you're into the outdoors or not.

Luckily, I could save three rolls of this amazing film from being thrown away by my mum.

In the alps - if you want to get from one valley to another - you have to drive through a tunnel. But if you want to have some nice and lovely pics on your rolls after crossing the mountains, enjoy a ride over a pass - for example the Flüelapass in Davos.

A very pleasant spot to spend the day and refresh oneself when it's too hot in Nice in summer.
