Great wines and oysters in the darkest part of Paris. We were recommended to go to Wepler by some Parisian gallerist that I know. She assured me it was the best place for fish. Queues at the door upon our arrival suggested a gem, and that couldn't have been farther from the truth.

Been in Buenos Aires for too many days? Cross the Río de la Plata River to Uruguay's closest World Heritage spot: Colonia del Sacramento. A small and quiet town where you can walk around historical buildings, chill on the riverside, and drink excellent wine.

If you're a wine lover like myself, you will enjoy the ritual of uncorking a bottle, pouring a glass of wine, aerating by swirling the glass, breathing in its heady aroma and savor its unique taste. Of course you have felt its effect on the senses, the sense of relaxation and happiness that stays in the body after sharing a good bottle of Rioja with your partner or friends. But perhaps you have never wondered how the grape is transformed into this wonderful elixir. Read on to find out.

Oysters today, oysters everyday! Do you like oysters as much as I do? Good news! No need to go to Whitstable or Scotland, the only way is Soho! I used to go to Wright Brothers Oyster Bar at Borough Market from time to time, but I didn't know they had a spot in Soho as well, until my gourmet friend took me there to have a quick oyster+Guiness anti-hangover fix.Yummy!

Not a Sado Maso experience, but fine wining and dining. Boots & Flogger is a place of tradition. Some waitresses have worked here for 35 years already. I once came here when one of them was retiring. She showed me pictures from the old days when she was still young and just started working here. They were two friends and another lady was still going to continue. I wonder, how many bottles of wine they had together during those years.

For my husband and I's 3 year wedding anniversary we decided to pack up and head on a weekend road trip to Ithaca, New York. The best thing to do in Ithaca besides act like a hippie? Well, that would be to take a tour of as many Finger Lakes wineries as you can.

Last summer my family and I went on a holiday to Alsace, in north-eastern France. Colmar was my favorite city I saw in the trip. It was founded in the 9th century, because of that you can feel its rich history.

After the magical time that we spent in Fjordland, it was time to go back on the road in reach of our next destination: Wanaka! Although before Wanaka, we first went to Queenstown where we got really disappointed.
