Up here in the North, we like to escape the cold during spring break and head south to warmer climates. If you have kids, there may be no better place than Florida and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

The Blue Springs State Park in Florida covers more than 2,600 acres, and includes the largest spring on the St. Johns River. The park is a designated manatee refuge, and the home to many manatees from November through March.

One word: Gelati. Two words: Mango Gelati. Three words: Best when cold. Four words: I want one now! In my opinion, Jacksonville Beach isn't family friendly. Too many college age and homeless bums hang out at this beach. There are so many cigarette buds on the ground. My fear is that I'll step on broken beer glass in the sand. And a friend of a friend almost got raped while out jogging in the morning. I avoid it.

A Fuji Instax Mini 10 camera, found amongst tools and other junk at a car boot sale has turn into one of my favourite cameras, it really is a secondhand love affair!

The three best places to visit on your travels down to the Florida Keys would have to be: Robbie's of Islamorada, The Rain Barrel, and Sombrero Reef. See why these places are the best to see!

Whenever I need to escape the gray, frigid winter weather, I always hop on a plane and head down to Palm Beach, FL, where it's usually 80 degrees and sunny.

Florida is a well-known vacation destination for those in search of the sun's sunny warm rays. However, not all beaches in Florida are created equally. If you find yourself in the central part of the state and on the west side, allow me to point you to one of my favourite beaches to soak up the sun.

Industry and nature collide in a good way at the Tampa Electric Company Power Plant. Just below the streams of puffy white particle clouds rests a discharge canal and in its warm winter and spring waters are the manatees.

The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables opened in 1926. It's rich history saw it as the premier destination for heads of state and celebrities during the Jazz era and a hospital during WWII.

If your journey ever brings you to Florida, I would highly recommend Heritage Village for a stop.

*Amanda Magnetta*, creative whirlwind and owner and operator of *Bear & Bird Gallery* (upstairs in Tate’s Comics) in Lauderhill, Florida knows a thing or two about art, style, and a DIY approach to life. Bear & Bird Gallery hosts awesome art shows, creative craft classes, and of course has a shop full of hand picked, aesthetically conscious goods. The gallery is a place for the community to connect, express, and inspire. For my favorite spot of lomo fun, I go to a tiny parking garage in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. When I had a class nearby I went fairly regularly and there was a lot of construction going on and a lot of fun signs all about, which I love because I always feel as though signs are shouting at me. Once I was brazen enough to slip past security (who was blaring classical music and chatting up a fairly bootylicious woman) and construction hazards and make it up to the rooftop.
